Not sure if you noticed, but this thread was started based on season averages.

7 YPA with no elite wideout.

You could argue harvin could be, but he is woefully misused in seattle.

Oh, and he won the Super Bowl last year FWIW. Not many game managers can say that.

Far from it?

Average would be 16th, and I have no clue as I haven't looked, but even if the stats show him to be average(through only 5 games, so there's some sample size in play here), I'm not sure anyone would argue he's average or worse, generally speaking.

If you had some sort of draft, taking just QBs finding some non-biased group, I don't see any scenarios where he's taken that low.

Since when did passing yards become the most important metric of a QB? As others have stated, if you are going to judge him solely on his passing yards (which doesn't make sense in the first place), you have to include his running yards as well. Basically this has to be one of the weakest statistics-based arguments that I have seen.

So, what is a game manager?

Numbers don't lie. Russell Wilson and Alex Smith (att/g, comp/g, yds/g) aren't like the rest of the QBs in the list below and we know Smith is a game manager. So what does that make Wilson?

Wilson is 30th in the league in yards per game. He sure is in some rarefied company there with Derek Carr, Jake Locker and Geno Smith:

Your numbers and attempts do because you arent putting in rushing yards and attempts. Please do that and update your chart

I can't view your pic here at work.

I can tell you that in his rookie season and 2nd season, Russell Wilson was 4th in the entire NFL both seasons in yards per attempt. You know what game managers don't do? That.

This season he's not off to as good of a start, but i'll take the 32 game sample size over 5.

Out of all of the elite QBs, Wilson is 2nd in yards/attempt and 2nd in QB rating. Nice

How many people have to tell you to go by total yards per game before you actually do it? You are worthless in a worthless thread.

When you can hide behind the running game of Lynch and the elite defense by throwing almost 10 times less per game than all other elite QBs, you tend to have some gaudy numbers in certain metrics.

I'd like to see Wilson try to keep up the same yards/attempt and QB rating while throwing for 35-40 times like these other QBs (Brees, Manning, Luck) are asked to do regularly.

I would like to see Manning and Brees rush for 50 yards a game and attempt 8-10 rushes a game

Can you get accurate facts, at least?

And throwing less doesn't in any way, shape, or form lend itself towards better stats.
