pretty much worst case scenario from both a player management and a fan de sentiment perspective…especially with it all on the heels of the Mookie Betts disaster

Bregman is not worth 175 at this point. Eaton will be fine at 3rd. Sox are young and talented. frick bregman and devers.

Sorry they got rid of a player that went to your fave college that is on the downside of his career. Bregman had 3 for 120 and now got 5 for 175. Hes not worth that.

Between the Sox and Yanks I don't know who's having a more pathetic offseason. Sure, the Sox got Grey and Contreras but that doesn't really build confidence for the fan base, Mayer could play 3rd but I'd rather they have an established player there to start.

They chose Devers over Betts. That was the mistake. The haul they got for Devers was weaker than it should have been but things had deteriorated enough that the Red Sox had lost significant value in Devers due to every other team knowing about the toxic relationship.
They have been struggling to find the pieces to build around since 18. The Devers bet just came up craps.
