I feel bad for that kicker. He’s taking it hard, but you can’t blame him for missing such a long kick.

Ouachita finished fifth in their own district, but are state champions.

Yeah it wasn’t close. The majority of high school kickers aren’t gonna make a 52 yard field goal

The difference in Karr and everyone else is stark. Putting aside the divisions

It’s Karr

Catholic/St Aug.

The rest of us

I see a 30-17 Karr win

Great season OPHS way to put it together when it counts!

Yeah I don’t see how St Aug wins barring a bad performance by Karr.

St Aug side is already packed. I’m in the trenches boys

2-5A. Meat grinder. Ruston is a pretty young team overall.

Yea. He is a really accurate kicker but that asking a bit much. That last penalty and run off killed Ruston . 10 more seconds and some more yards .. but ifs and buts!

All four district losses were close. Ouachita played tough all season. They were able to start winning those close games in the playoffs.

Their road to a championship:
#19 seed St. Amant - 3 point win
#3 Destrehan - 2 points
#6 Parkway - 6 points
#2 Neville - 7 points
#1 Ruston - 1 point

I told folks to not sleep on Ouachita. Hard to believe my ASH team beat the brakes off Ruston and then beat Ouachita in an ugly win.

Then got our crap pushed around by Neville and then that fiasco at Catholic.

St Aug side 40 mins before kickoff.

We had to get the frick out of there and went to Karr’s side which isn’t nearly as packed. Yet.

Same thing happened to my boy from Neville, can’t recall if it was ‘91 or ‘92. Wide right as well. Bless it.

It’s Karr then Catholic then a huge gap and everyone else. Catholic is the only team to keep it close with them for 2 years.

Catholic was a damn good football team in the later part of the year. Plenty talent and very well coached/prepared. They gave us zero breathing room then came out the second half and okayed as well as any team I’ve seen. Great tacklers, made it look easy.
