Isn't motte dame from Crowley???? They are always in the hunt. Crowley is in the middle of nowhere. How and where are they getting these kids from????

They pull from Crowley, Rayne, Church Point, and all around. Usually Crowley High isn't that good because ND takes some players away but they are 10-0 as well.

I don't disagree with riverside being the favorite but how do you not think STA doesn't have at least a chance as the #2 seed?

Riverside is that damn good... STA looks like a 2a team in spots where Riverside, Calvary, etc. don't

I understand this. But Crowley isn't a mega rich town. Tuition must be cheap at nd. Plus church point is s good ways from Crowley.

And people forget that Riverside didn't have their QB this year. Stubbs has a damn strong team this year.

Riverside
Calvary
ParkView
Cedar Creek

Along with several other schools were former private school league schools that joined lhsaa and after succeeding as much in lhsaa are now banished back to select school land.

Yes all were former private school league schools. Don't know what you refer to.

I'd say it has more to do with evening the playing field. Why should public school x have to play private school y in the playoffs when private school y has a crazy advantage of being able to recruit players. The main problem I see is that it's not split for other sports and it should.

A West Monroe fan talking about crazy advantages and recruitment of players is laughable. How do you think that the school went from doormat to power.

Cedar Creek hasn't won anything. Not much succeeding going on in Ruston in football. Hell of a baseball team though.

Nobody really. Just enjoy football. Everybody saying public schools have free education so they have the advantage are dead wrong. If you don't think scholarships are being given you are ignoring something that goes on at 100% of successful private schools.

I'm not a WM fan. I live nowhere near there nor have I ever even seen them play a game.

Several reasons:
One of the best strength coaches in the state

One of the best coaching staffs in the state

A community who adamantly supports the program

A group of hard nosed kids who play the game correctly

An administration that works with the staff and community to implement an innovative vision and strategy

Example: The $800,000 jumbotron that will be paid off in several years and start returning 10's of thousands of dollars per year back to the school

If you want to win, try getting better and quit making excuses

You see my friend, don't confuse recruiting with elite programs that attract talented kids (i.e. Rummel, John Curtis, Evangel, Destrehan, Neville, and several others throughout the state

But three of the elite programs you listed DO recruit! Why else would their coaches be at a playground game 2 parishes away?

But a school can't give scholarships to the whole football team. Ask Redemptorist what happens when Central and Zachary break away from the EBR school system. If a parent has the choice between a free quality education or paying for it, the choice is easy.

This is ridiculous. There should be no more than 4 divisions for public schools and no more than 2 for privates. Ideally, it should be 1 select division and 4 public divisions.
