I was at Holy Cross @ Jesuit yesterday, and HC looked entirely outclassed, and then they pulled off two upsets today. Impressive.

I know. That really stings for the Blue Jays. Didn’t see that coming.

What a game.

Score was

HC-2
Jesuit-1

Bottom of 7th, bases loaded, full count, 2 outs with 4 hole at the plate

And he pops out to the shortstop

I’m happy for Holy Cross. Great win for them.

Catholic is going to be tough

I just might have to see this Friday night game. Especially if Hall gets the nod.

What ever happened to Jesuit? They’re like Southern Cal. USC has the most historic program in college baseball but they such now and Jesuit is the most historic program in Louisiana High School baseball, but they aren’t that good anymore. Always getting beat out in the playoffs

There will be two LSU commits playing in the game. Tom Biggs from West Monroe and Alex Milazzo from Zachary. Collier Cranford from Zachary is also committed to LSU, but had TJ earlier this season.

changing demographics in NOLA..... it's not just Jesuit, it's everyone in the catholic league....except JC... fewer and fewer people that send their kids to catholic schools living in NOLA now a days as evidenced by the shrinking enrollment at catholic lower and high schools. not to mention nationwide trend of falling enrollment at private schools nationwide(demographic that historically sent their kids to private schools is shrinking/having fewer kids). The jesuit reject list that other catholic schools used to pour over used to be 300 and up - now it is less than 100.

shaw, hc, st aug and rummel have taken dramatic hits over the last decade in their enrollment.

Talked to one of their coaches recently, he said they do not get the numbers that they used to get.

3. You forgot Josh Pearson. He’s leadoff and LF for WM. Has 6-7 HRs on the year.

Not so strong this year after their Texas seniors graduated ...

Division 1 will probably be Brother Martin and Catholic, but we'll see.. St Paul's is looking pretty good finishing 23-6...

Pearson only has 6-7 home runs??? He hit 3 in one game vs EA!!!!

He’s an old freshman. Will nearly be 20 when he graduates I think.
