He’s committed to LSU. Few years to go to see how it all plays out. Never know what can happen.
If you’re asking my personal opinion, he’ll be drafted higher than Jacob.
Best freshman player in LA in the two sports I am involved with. Rare air w Leonard Fournette - maybe better because LF was a hold back
Best freshman baseball player I have seen - 2nd place is distant

All three St. Charles starting pitchers threw complete games and allowed only 4 total runs in the series.

If you're 15 and in 8th grade you're allowed to play 14u. If I have time, I'll look the rule up. It was implemented a couple of years ago.
I have a nephew that is in 8th grade as a hold back that just turned 15 in late April. This is his second year of 14u ball.

Cuz in 17 he played 13, in 16 12 and so on all the way back to 8u. Of corse he also played up
But there is no age waiver for the other grades

You are incorrect. You can play with your graduating class in travel ball. He is 1-2 years older than most freshmen and yes he is a hold back. He can still hit a baseball

His brother turned 19 after graduation
My son played and I coached against his brother and was present when a team requested a birth certificate check on the team - all including Pearson were the right age

2017 was the first year of the rule.
Just go look up both Josh and Jacob on Perfect Game. It gives their age in years and months. Jacob is 20y 11m and Josh is 16y 7m.

Kirk Bullinger out at Shaw, Doug Faust will return to be the head coach there once again.

so I stand corrected on then, he is not the best freshman I have seen - that goes to a player that was not a hold back but started as a freshman...... but in 2010 through 2017 josh played with his grade's age... so something is off.

quote:cannot turn 19 prior to sept 1 of that school year. which 2 of the last 10 mr footballs in La turned 19 shortly after sept 1 of their senior years. for the record - I have felt hold backs should be illegal since I was in school.
