So basically the whole schedule was moved 3 days later than original.
Will be interesting as far as pitching goes since the kids that pitched Wednesday will have 4 days rest before Monday's finals.

Pitching (usually) wins championships.

Not sure what I missed, but Spring Football is where a ton of scholarships are handed out. Coaches come and evaluate more than any other time/offer more. A lot of times those scholarships vanish by mid June too.

Spring games are this weekend too
Other logistics/conflicts including game management, officials etc

Even the LHSAA can’t pull that off
Their rules are etched in stone
Do I need to state them?
Integrity has nothing to do with it
Trust me, I’ve went before their finest minds in this great state to discuss eligibility before

I thought I was done for the year, but there’s now some overlap with games involving area teams, so I’ll be back for Div. IV.

Bad storm with large hail came through Sulphur and surrounding area last night. McMurray Park has a lot of limbs down but the fields are okay. Tree was hit by lightning. They should have everything picked by Sunday if weather will give the crews a break.

Here is a question:
For the teams who started a game on Tuesday but were unable to finish, do the pitch counts reset. There are two competing Lhasa rules here.
The first is the pitch count rule which is based on days, not games. And the “resumption of a game in progress rule which says that it picks up from the point it was left off at”
My question is if a team is starting a game back up in the 4th inning and pitch counts are restarted, then that team has an advantage in there pitcher has the opportunity to throw far less pitches than the team who wins finals on the opposite side of the bracket.
With there being a rest day between Sunday and Tuesday then it is completely reasonable to assume a starter in a shortened game will throw less than the 58 pitches that force a second rest day.

From what I understand they do not reset unless the game was completed. In other words their is no benefit to have a game started postponed
They did everything possible to ensure no team got an extra day off more than their finals opponent

The pitching limit isn’t about the integrity or fairness, it is about protecting kids arms- nothing more nothing less
Many teams get to ace up twice during season vs a district opponent due to rain outs, that their opponent didn’t have.
