Kobe is not and never will better than Jordan, no matter how you try and twist his stats and crap

Quote were anyone said Kobe was better than Jordan .

The MJ worshippers obviously can't breathe & lose oxygen to their brains because his member is so far down your throats.

I just read all that as...

"this guy dodged my rebuttal and question"

Remind me again when Jordan posted this type of performance in a game 7 of any playoff series much less a NBA Finals?

Jordan played in 3 game 7's posting up:
38 - 8 - 9
42 - 6 - 4
28 - 9 - 8

Kobe's game 7 to win the finals?

6-24 for 23 points and 2 assists and 15 rebounds

Game 7 against the Rockets the year before?
4-12 for 14 points

Yup, clutch and amazing player there. He's had some good games also, but the guy is just not as good or clutch as some want to believe.

LeBron is looking better as of now and if he keeps it up he'll be better than Kobe easily, but you do have to give Kobe credit for longevity.

washed up version of the spurs? people keep saying spurs are washed up, getting old, etc. but the proof is in the records. They went 58-24 the year they dismantled LeBron. LeBron's stats those 4 games? 22/7/6.8 'pedestrian numbers'

Wanna know another fact? Since '00 the've only had ONE season where they were a sub-4th seeded team.

No...there weren't.

Go on YouTube and just WATCH some eighties games.

Then, to verify the abortion of defense you just witnessed with your own eyes, look up stats on team defenses and game pacing from the eighties.

Then come back and try and make an argument from evidence that what you saw was actual defense.

To say there was no defense is highly ignorant. The early part of the decade had a pace too fast for the whole team to get in a defensive set like we have today. The Bad Boys and then the Knicks started to slow it down and physically drain teams. So yes there was defense in the 80's just different kinds. Pace was much faster.

Now you're just trolling and bashing Lebron. Washed up? The same nucleus of that team went to the finals 6 years later and are among the best teams in the league still today.

I'll say Kobe is the most similar in style to Jordan, but not nearly as good. Lebron is a different type of player and we're still watching his legacy unfold. He'll pass Kobe in time and I wouldn't be surprised if he at least equals the number of rings he has. Still far too early to tell where he sits in relation to MJ

Kobe played with Shaq so of course his stats will be lower.

sure.

But to be fair, you can't use this argument and also point to all of Kobes rings, that would be contradictory.

But that's not what happened. I get your point, but that's just making more "ifs"

Doesn't matter. I want to know how they were when they were the same age. Jordan was playing in college at 19. Kobe and LeBron were playing in the NBA.

Who cares where they were playing.

It's not fair to compare 21 year old Jordan to 18 year old LeBron or Kobe just coming out of high school.

Again, without Pao/Bynum or Shaq,

Andrew Bynum playoff stats Lakers championships seasons:

2009 -. 6 pts/ 3.7 rebs/ 1 block in 17 minutes / game.
2010- 8.6 pts / 6.8 rebs/ 1.6 blocks in 24 minutes / game

Luc Longley Playoff stats as a Bull Championship seasons:

96- 8.3 pts/4.5 rebs/1.5 blocks in 24 minutes /game
97- 6.5 pts /4.4 rebs/1 block in 22 minutes /game
98- 8 pts/5 rebs/ 1 block in 25 minutes per game

Bynum is one of the most over hyped big men in recent NBA history & anyone who points to his contribution to the Lakers Rings as 'dominant' should be slapped in the mouth.

His Luc Longley like contributions are less than overwhelming (when & if he was even available) & I have never heard anyone claim MJ played with the 'dominant' Longley.

Count LeBron and Kobe's first 3 seasons as their "college" seasons, and compare MJ, LeBron, and Kobe's stats from the same age starting with when Jordan entered the NBA.

I'd be interested to see that.

just juxtapose the graphs for Kobe and LBJ over three years

MJ is still better

Except he isn't. He scored slightly more than LeBron, but that's it.

You can't really compare someone's rookie year to someone who has already got 3 years under their belt, even if they are the same age.

Experience is much more important than age

And he's a better defender. So he's better at scoring points and better at stopping opponents from scoring points. Tell me, how do we determine the winner in NBA games?

While I agree, you also can't compare a 21 year olds rookie season after being able to grow and mature in college for 3-4 years to a 19 year olds rookie season straight out of high school.

Prove it.

LeBron guards all 5 positions on the floor and he does it well.

And his defensive rtg is better than Jordan's.
