But a name of a star I'm surprised hasn't been mentioned is Ichiro. There is no way he is roiding.

So I guess you would have thought there was no way little 160 pound Alex Sanchez was roiding either.

There is no way to tell if a player was using performance inhancing drugs. NONE. If you want to go by just looks, then every NFL player is on roids. You don't have to weigh 220 pounds to be on steroids.

Ken Griffey Jr. And if I'm right, he is one of the Top 10 players of all time.

At what sport? Not baseball for sure under any definition of top.

Unless you consider PF Flyers to be performance enhancers....

So no one thinks that Ripken Jr. took 'roids? The biggest benefit is healing faster and being able to make it through the grind. A guy that has the streak for most consecutive games isn't in question? Really?

BTW, pretty sure Lemke and Blauser never took Vitamin S.

Based on conversations I've had with teammates of his, yeah, I think he did.

If you go back 15 years you could really name 500-1000 players we assume never took roids. If you wanna narrow it down, why not just include those who made all star teams, or those in top 3 of MVP, Home Runs, Wins, RBI's, K's, Batting Avg..
Or even potential hall of fame candidates.

Naming guys like Luis Polina, or other light hitting infielders is kinda pointless.

I am saying he was an awesome physical specimen even as a teenager. He was recruited as a tailback by USC back in the day when that was the glamour position in college football. He was cut like a rock even then.

There are several others who played MLB that I had the opportunity to see or play against in high school. One of them who became a "fitness buff" late in his career was Dennis Eckersley. His claim is he got sober, probably true, but I'd be willing to bet his physical development was chemically enhanced.

was Nolan Ryan not on the Rangers?

Yeah, he was...but not when that clown Tom Hicks was owner. I'm not saying Bush was any better, but they don't seem to have allegations pouring in from when he owned the team.

Right. I know more about baseball, basketball, and football than you know about your own little prick.

It's not about weight. It's about how these guys were raised. I'm not stupid...I know about Sanchez, and Benard, and Santangelo...all twigs by definition. The reason I see Griffey, Nolan Ryan, Ichiro, and Jeter innocent is because they were raised by parents who told them what right and wrong was...something half the dipshits on here know nothing about. I will stand by that until someone that is legitimate (not idiots who think this is the rant...Hot Carl...) proves it otherwise...not alleges...but proves.

It's sad when a best comeback is "you don't know anything about baseball or life." Whatever helps him get sleep.

Anyway...two guys I wished never did it that I loved watching on the Rockies...Andres Galarraga and Dante Bichette. But I have my doubts about them.

Why is that so funny. Pre-cancer Galarraga kinda came outta nowhere along with Bichette. It was either the altitude or something else going around in LoDo.

to everyone saying that nolan ryan never took steroids, he threw upper 90's for six or seven innings until he retired and then had open heart surgery when he was 53. I find that interesting.

The dude also took Advil like there was no tomorrow...that can't be healthy.

The biggest shame in this is similar to what Lance Berkman said...people like Ryan will forever be questioned by the biggest naysayers. I think Ryan is clean, I hope he is clean, but I understand why people would question it. It's sad that any superhuman effort will raise eyebrows instead of glasses. Record-breaking performances will bring out questions from the fans instead of loud cheers. It's sad...and it sucks.

But like I said earlier, I will stand by my favorite players and look up to them (even as an adult) until something drastic does happen. Why turn my back on a player just because someone else took roids? I say screw that.
