Dammit, Cubs...what the frick is goin' on??? At least the game isn't over which means there's a sliver of hope.
But I didn't expect this. I certainly figured the Cubs would cruise to the World Series after all the momentum you carried into the 1 game playoff against Pittsburgh and into the NLDS against the Cardinals where you crushed my favorite team's dreams.
I did not think that perhaps you exhausted all your luck and cashed in all your checks to beat STL. I didn't think the STL matchup would become your World Series.
This sucks. Now I have no team to root for.
Sad fricking night.

Why are you mad at me? I've done nothing but support the Cubs since y'all beat the Cards in the NLDS. I've been very open about my support, even going so far as to announce that I hope the Cubs would play the Royals in the World Series.
As a Cards fan that takes every ounce of humility to root for the Cubs...yet I did.

No need to pour it on him, Kilo. Think about how we felt when our favorite team lost to the Cubs (of all teams) in the playoffs.
He feels much MUCH worse. We're talking over a century of suppressed hopes and dreams swept away less than an hour ago.

I'm already looking forward to next season. Hopefully the cards will maintain their health a lot better, and will trim some of the fat, building around their young talent. Should be another exciting race in the central.
