Glad I got up for this one. I wish Murray would have broke at 5-5. Three break points and he couldn't get it some. Would have liked him to get a major under his belt.

Novak 6-3, 3-6, 6-7 (4), 6-1, 7-5

Awesome match. 4hr 50mins of back-and-forth. These guys are gonna need wheelchairs tomorrow. Awesome effort. That's what sports are about

Least dominant serving I have ever seen. Half great returns and defense, and half choking from not challenging on the serve.

Novak is a slight favorite to win the final. I doubt fatigue will be an issue. This reminds me of the Australian Open 09 when Nadal had that long 5 setter against Verdasco and everyone thought Fed would dominate him in the final but Nadal took it.

Nadal gets an extra day of rest. Novak played a 5 setter. (Nadal 4)

Come on Nadal!

I'm not sure the fatigue will be a factor for Novak. Last year at Rome Djokovic played a grueling 3 hour match against Murray in the semi, then went out and beat Nadal in straight sets rather convincingly in the final less than 24 hours later. That was on clay too.

I have no idea what to expect in the final. I'll go with Novak in 4.

I'm confident Nadal takes it. I have been since the start. He's a menace and definitely feels he has something to prove against Djokovic. I think Novak replenishes well, which will make for a good match. Still, I don't see it being nerve-rackingly close, but it might take a while. I expect to see some long volleys and some close line calls (good ones and bad ones, judging by the tourney so far).

Does the grunting really bother anyone that much? How do you expect to reduce it...shorten matches? People need to quit complaining so damn much! Mute the TV if you don't realize there are noises in sports!

If I were playing Sharapova, the grunting would annoy the frick out of me. As a spectator, I look forward to it!

nah

Even 6-0 5-0 (40-0) is not a safe lead in women's tennis.
