Toying with a 2nd half under, that was a half marred by turnovers
Edit: Locked U21.5 1/2 unit

You under bettors actually should be hoping for a TD here...

This was always an under game, kicking myself for not betting it.

Well, of course thats what happens....thats the NFL

Shoulda been an easy hit, some really shitty breaks though. But on the flip caught some from the Louisville cover

Yeah, I'm happy I bet more on college than on the NFL. I knew it would be like this coming into the year.

Definitely a fortunate ending...but Denver +3 cashes.

PREDICTED SCORE:
Denver +3 @ -3 KC ***** DEN 17 KC 20 u42.5
FINAL: DEN +3 31 KC 24
What I learned:
Layed off this game because I had the line as a push. Also, I wanted to get another look at Peyton before going against him. I wasn't ready as many to believe he didn't have some more left in the tank. He didn't look brilliant last night, but he did everything asked of him, made the throws when he had to. He's obviously much more comfortable with no huddle and in the shotgun, and it appears that Denver has (re)found a formula for decent success.
Another reason I laid off is, I wasn't crazy about going against that Broncos defense. They looked even better than advertised in the Baltimore game. They're going to keep the Broncos in a lot of games they probably shouldn't be in this year. As I stated in an earlier post, the only viable play imo was the Under, and that didn't come through, either. The books probably made out like bandits on the dog and the Over.
Turnovers are almost impossible to predict. The Chiefs were the beneficiaries of multiple ones in the Houston game, and on the wrong side of that stat in this game, which made all the difference in both. There's not much more frustrating than to lose a game you were probably right about, but got screwed on because of unforseen turnovers. We'll have a better handle on which teams have that problem as the season progresses, but at this juncture, it's a crap shoot.
After last week's domination by the favs in Vegas, I expect more dogs to bark this weekend; last night was the opening salvo.
All in all, KC will be fine. You take away the turnovers and this is a much different ballgame. Don't sleep on these guys moving forward.
fwiw- I normally haven't played teasers in the past but I am experimenting this year with a little house money, thus, I had KC +10 in a couple of four teamers and got away with one. Here are the teaser plays if you're interested...
Kansas City Chiefs 10.0
St. Louis Rams 9.5
Pittsburgh Steelers 7.0
Philadelphia Eagles 7.5
Kansas City Chiefs 10
Indianapolis Colts 6
New England Patriots 11
St. Louis Rams 9.5
Good luck to everyone this weekend!

I had Denver +3.5 and over 42 parlayed. I only won because the fix was in.

For those of you looking at the TEN-CLE game, Manziel has been named as the starter. Expect that TEN -1 to climb a bit.
