The Titans have 53 NFL players on their roster.

Ohio State doesn't.

Ahh, the yearly top college team vs worst NFL team thread.

Nah an all OSU team from '15+ would be one of the best NFL teams. You could do the same for Bama, LSU and UGA.

as someone else said. What percentage of Ohio states roster will even get a practice squad spot? How about the titans?

Any nfl team that lost to any college team, regardless of ability, should be forced to disband and every player on that team barred from playing in the league again.

These silly posts kill me that anyone can think a good college team can actually play, and do well against any pro team, even a cellar dweller.

NFL teams are made up of mostly college elite players from D1 schools, not a bunch of blue chip high school players that many of the top NCAA teams field.

HUGE difference in talent when all is said and done.

Ohio State has better starting WRs than Tennessee.

Ohio State has a better QB than Tennessee,

Caleb Downs is better than anyone in Tennessee’s secondary.

The score wouldn’t be 63-7. People look at Tennessee as “NFL rosters”. Except most players on their roster stink. Most of their talent can be considered “good college players that are bad pro players”. And that’s what most of Ohio State’s roster will end up being too.

You don’t need 53 guys to win one single football game. You need 22 on 22. And the top 22 on Ohio State vs the top 22 on Tennessee is way closer than anyone thinks especially bc Ohio State has a big advantage at the skill positions

Means nothing when a college offensive/defensive line goes up an NFL defensive/offensive line.

Sayin would be on his back all day and the Titans would probably never even have to throw a pass to put up 40+.

Sayin is a sophomore first year starter who hasn’t faced a legitimate defense since week one. He has never faced a team with a pass rush, or an NFL level D backfield. He’d take multiple sacks, have multiple ints, and be lucky to finish the game.

If Ohio State played Tennessee, Ohio State would have the 5 best players on the field:

Williams
Tate
Downs
Reese
Sayin

That’s 5 top 20 picks.

Look at this way, if Tennessee allowed their entire roster to be draft eligible this year, would any of their players be drafted in the 1st round?

When one team has the 5 best players, still claiming the opponent will win by 50 is ridiculous.

All very talented, but with little experience compared to a pro team. You honestly believe that Jeffrey Simmons wouldn’t be one of the 5 best players on the field? You think a college OL is going to hold up against a pro DL? Do you honestly believe that Sayin would be tearing up defenses in the NFL with his limited experience?

You know how Ohio State blew the brakes off Grambling 70-0 just this season?

The talent gap that Ohio State would face vs the Titans is even wider than that.

Too few points for Tennessee and too many points for Ohio State.
