But if he played the 2015 and 2016 Warriors on his two lesser championship teams and lost, but played just as well as when he won, he would still be just as great of a player.
You hammer on and on and on about only using known quantifiable variables, then immediately resort to a wild totally unsuppportable hypothetical. You fanboy

It's a hypothetical, but I'm saying that his indivdual performance speaks for itself, regardless of his specific team outcome.

How hard was that to understand?

I disagree to an extent. Basketball is by far the most individualistic team sport where one dominant individual can make the biggest impact in team outcome.

Jordans old man was whacked because of his son's refusal to pay bookies. #2, I don't see Phil Jackson taking another HC job anytime soon. You notice he's always taken jobs with teams surrounded with in tact talent? He's doing a wonderful job with the Knicks, isn't he? Jackson is the most overrated coach on pro sports, and quit listening to Cowherd, Mike and Mike, Rome, etc. He's a terrible coach. I'd take Kerr, Rudy T, Carlisle, Billy D, or Doc any day

I've heard this rumor but everything I've read says the opposite. I mean how did they know where he was on the side of a road? Do you have a link?

Is it your contention that any coach would have 11 rings with those rosters?

Exactly my point. I don't recall him taking a job with a crappy Nets or 76ers and rebuilding. He's an dogs arse that gets sunlight once a day. Right place, at the right time.

Sure, but if you average MJ's indivdual contributions (his game score) and divide it by the total for each series it averages to (
32.2% (from 26.3% to 35.2%). That's phenomenal, but even if we add an additional 50% to his score (~ 48%) for arguments sake (defense, leadership), that's still half of the performance that was out of his control.

Again he was the reason they won, BUT there is still a significant amount out of his control.

The performance speaks for itself, but team championships in and of themsleves only tell part of the story.

I put this in the talent category. God given talent.

You'll never get a link. It's just something posters on here like to bring up with no proof whatsoever. It's either this, or MJ was big jerk, that's all they got

No coach, in the history of the nba,has won a title with average players that are coached up. Not once. NBA is about having 2-3 gane changers and if you dont have them then you will not win titles

do they not realize that there is only 1 player we compare him to? Just one.
People actively throw around that he's not as good/impactful as Shaq, Kareem, Kobe, Jordan, Hakeem, Duncan, etc. all the time. People go to Jordan most of the time because he's the ultimate measuring stick and Lebron himself garnered that specific measurement with his "gonna be the next Jordan" stuff coming out of high school, wearing his number, etc.

b. why the hell not? Lebron is THE example of how to be a prodigy in modern American sports. we may never see this again

Oh really? So you are saying running from team to team trying to assemble dream teams in your favorite cities and going 2-5 in championships is the model to follow? I hope I never see this again. It's been dreadfully painful.

And earlier you claimed that the media made MJ what he was. Like Jordan had no part in it but the media tried to do the same with James but it just didn't work out.
