Bird was incredible. There are some great videos on YouTube with players like Shaq, Ewing, Magic, Salley, Thomas, Barkley, etc talking about how great he was. His highlights are a fun watch also.
If I put together an all time NBA team Bird would definitely be one of the 5.

Kobe is not #2 on the GOAT list, if that is what you are claiming.
No. Sorry.
You suffer from recency bias.
Top 10, ok.
Not top 2.
FWIW, Bron isn't #2 either, so don't get worked up. Bron is behind Kobe.

I’m not reading this thread so SIAP, but that helicopter crash has done wonders for Kobe’s legacy.

Jordan, Bird, and Kobe all have the same 2 traits.
1 Win at all cost.
2 embarrass you while winning.
They didn't care if you like them or not. They were all cold hearted assassins
My starting 5
1 Jordan
2 Bird
3 Duncan
4 ??
5 ??

I'll wager lebron had more assists and rebounds with comparable defense, without even looking.
LeBron is a terrible on ball defender. He could be considered one of the best help-side defenders ever.

Like it needed any help… his accomplishments should stand on their own

Been watching the NBA since the 70's.
1) Kareem
2) Jordon
3) Bird
4) Duncan
5) Dr J
Kobe...........way down there. Just a gunner and ball hog.

I loved Kobe and he was an absolute alpha dog and competitor, but.......
LeBron is the clear #2 behind Micheal Jeffery Jordan, and to say otherwise is being intellectually dishonest.

Been a fan of the game since 1976.
Started playing basketball at 7 years old, and still play.
Coached more than 1000 kids basketball over the past 20+ years.
Coached over 1000 basketball games.
NBA season ticket holder for 8 years.
Been watching basketball my whole life, generations of family involved in playing and coaching the sport of basketball.
I know a little about the sport, as I am currently heavily involved in coaching, playing and training.
Um, whatever you say.
LOL

You can only have 1 Goat when the term means Greatest of All Time. If you want to say second best player ok. But there is no 2nd Goat

NOW? Sure, but not back in his heyday. That's a Lakers era thing b/c of age.
He was an apex defender in his prime.

I loved watching Kobe and think LeBron is a huge attention whore, fake racism, first page of a book reading bitch. But he’s better at basketball than Kobe was

GFY
Thanks for your transparency in telling us all how qualified you are to speak on the subject, instead of out of your arse, because you don't know shite about the game.

On no planet is Lebron James behind Kobe on an all-time list

LeBron is too much of a crying, flopping, choking, baby-back bitch to ever be in the GOAT conversation.
