Thought players weren't allowed to play their sport at the rec. I have heard of football players playing bball there before but not basketball players.
They can most certainly play pick up games at the rec. not intramurals though

I played in college. I'm 6'3" and can dunk. So I have her beat as far as size and athleticism.
And I believe I'm more skilled.
I could take her, and it wouldn't be close.

if you're not lying about those 3 things, you'd probably dominate her

After we one four or five games in a row at the Rec, some white girl asked if she could have ups. Next thing we know, we're playing the woman's basketball team. No Fowles or Augustus, but Tameka and a few others from that time. They worked us.

y'all must have sucked
back in my pickup game at the PMac, we'd play girls occasionally and they didn't do shite except play dirty and be small
and my pickup game was a bunch of 25-30 year olds, some of whom (like me) didn't even play high school ball

Still disappointed in her for not winning a NC while at LSU. She should have smashed Baylor the year she played with Fowles, but I'm happy she finally got a title with Maya Moore.

And the only times I've played against girls was when we played against the girls team in high school.
The score was like 80-something to 0. They didn't score a single point.
They had trouble just getting into their half-court offense, and only managed to get off like 4 shots the entire time.
We were playing for real and pressing or trapping the entire time keeping relentless pressure on. And it wasn't even a full game... it was like maybe 20 minutes.
Keep in mind, we won the 5A state championship in Texas, and they were a "decent" girls team. So there's that.
Other than that, I had a friend who had a sister that played on the high school team while I was in high school, and she went on to play at a small college.
She was about as good as a random high-school guy who is playing pick-up at a gym (when I was in high school. She could have improved in college but I didn't play against her then).
So I just don't think females can compete. I wouldn't say that in real life... but this is the internet and that's how I really feel.

My intramural team in college played most of the girls team at the rec when I was in school. They had Fowles, Johnson, Augustus, De'Trina White, and some other girl I can't remember. We beat them 15-8. We had a 6'5" and 6'7" guy on our team so size was not an issue. I guarded Semoine in that game. She is good, but the difference in athleticism and especially strength is substantial. The one thing I remember though is that she used screens better than anyone I had played against, guy or girl.
LSU athletes can play whatever sport they want at the rec. You won't see basketball guys or girls in the rec during the season but they were always there during the summer. I played against Ronald Dupre, CTIII, Charlie Thompson, Big Baby, Garrett Temple, and Tyrus Thomas all while I was at LSU at the rec.

try SFP first, then we can move on to the WNBA all star

Guys who have played at a decently high level understand the strength and quickness differences between guys and girls.

I don't need to brag. Carson does it for me.

Yeah, one on one maybe. I also don't play anymore so if say no now.
But a decent high school team that at least wasn't mismatched by big size in the paint would beat good women's teams.
No doubt my HS team could beat lsu back in the day. Your tool friend that balls at the Y..... Probably not
Women's teams are just slow compared to men's.

My tool friend? Not sure who you're talking about.
I think my high school team could beat a WNBA team. We were big and long and trapped relentlessly.
There's just too much of a quickness and explosiveness difference between good guys and good girls.

No no no.
I meant the OP. Was just a random thought I had on the end of my statement
I agree. 5 decent HS players beat good girls college team.
Rando guys that are average at best probably not
Only thing about my HS team is we didn't have size. We had 1 or two guys with really good size but they were horrible and didn't play.

I've always said a good 2A/3A team that can make it into the playoffs but not much further could take a top 10 women's team, but it would be a close game.
It's primarily based on my friend who was good enough to play D3 and probably be the 9th or 10th guy at a school like Monmouth being a little worse than Alana Beard when she was an NPOY candidate.
