I'm guessing he thought it was a harmless joke and passed it off to some friends, one of which decided to make money from it and sell it to a website.
He's an idiot either way, but I find it hard to believe he released it publicly himself. If he did, my mind is blown.

a) infidelity, while common for professional athletes, is not okay.
b) why the frick would you record it?

I doubt it. Players will never be able to trust the guy anymore, as he has shown he has zero issue baiting and recording secrets.
Nick Young is garbage for cheating, but Russell has ruined the early part of his career by letting it be known he cannot be trusted.
It would be one thing if he just told Iggy (still not his place, but whatevs) but he either released it to the general public or sent it to someone who did. That's wrong.

only issue is you just lost trust of the whole team, who pretty much all suck as well, but who wants to come play with a guy who you can't trust and nobody likes? Russell isn't a superstar, so he doesn't have that going for him.
