It doesn’t really matter. The distinction between 2 and 3 is non existent. Neither are going to have a tough time with their first matchup and they’ll play at a neutral site when they meet. Uniform color is the main thing on the line.

Now that I think about it, I believe the committee may keep Ohio State at #2. And I'm fine with that.
I think it works better with the seeding and avoiding recent rematches in the bracket.

They didn’t play Oregon. Indiana did. Ohio states schedule really was hilarious. I posted about it this week. If you take out Michigan, the other 5 of their final 6 regular season opponents were a combined 10-35 in Big Ten play. Michigan was their toughest conference opponent and they got beat by multiple scores by every ranked team they played.
Big ten is very good at the top 3. 4th—8th teams are good enough to hang with most teams outside the top 5. The bottom half of the league is terrible, and that’s almost exclusively who Ohio state played in the back half of the season.
