They could draft relatively well and get some players on their lines that will make a difference thus setting their future QB up for success rather than draft the QB and then the OT or Pass Rusher. Or they trade back from #2 like they should because realistically they can and they'd get more draft picks out of it.

Guarantee it's Oregon's idea. Just like their Joey Heisman Time Square stunt back in the day and always changing uniforms. They're about all about promotion.

Was just about to say this. It's a way to hype up their program. Kinda like when Lanning released the video that he's staying in Eugene after Saban left when Alabama never offered him.

Has Raiola signed a contract yet? He'd almost certainly be the started at Miami or Tennessee next year

Its been said he doesnt mind sitting for a year behind Dante. I dont think hes signed yet but I would wager that he stays there and then starts next year.

I don’t think he’s returning because he doesn’t think he’s ready. He just really doesn’t want to go to the Jets. He’ll come back get paid a few million and pray he doesn’t get drafted by the jets in 2 years.

I would think it's just multi year starters not 30 starts since that would be 3 years and almost no good QBs start for 3 years anymore

Correct. Passes attempted is used almost as much as games started in the current era.

Scouts like to see QBs closer to 1,000 pass attempts spread over multiple seasons, rather than a single season with only 400 attempts, in order to properly grade a QB. Also, those QBs have meet that criteria are generally better prepared for the NFL and have a better success rate.

Financially, a bad decision.

This is the weakest QB draft in awhile and he isnt a cant miss prospect. he's giving up top 5 draft pick money for a chance at a national title... he isn't Andrew Luck or Peyton Manning whos projected to go #1 whenever they wanted to leave.

is the $4 mil , $5 mil in NIL worth the hit? now he has to compete with these guys

McShay talks a lot about Parcells QB standard and the correlation between having 30 or more starts and more success in the league. I think the only ones succeeding right now that had less than 30 college starts were Allen, Mahomes, and I think one other. But those are all unicorns in terms of physical ability.

It was 27 starts and Mahomes met that total.

It's probably true. He knew Moore returning was a possibility and more importantly I doubt Oregon is paying him what they'd pay a starter.

Remember how stacked this seasons class preseason was supposed to be?Klubnik, Nuss, Allar and Sellars were supposed to go in the first round. 0 of them are gonna be 1st round picks. You just never know
