The Hawks have a rebuild looming, Indy rebuild, Chicago rebuild, the bobcats are mediocre.

Pretty much.
Boston can still add talent and be competitive without adding big time superstars. They were the 1 seed this year and keep adding picks. I wouldn't be in a rush to ship out all that talent

Goodness Windhorst is so awkward on TV
Is it because there's this constant nervousness you may see him have a heart attack on TV?
or you always have this constant reminder of this:

So what happens if Heyward resigns with Utah (which is now a strong possibility). How does Ainge look then?
Posted on 6/30/17 at 9:14 pm to Fus0623
My point is still the same without Hayward. Hayward alone isn't putting them on Clevelands level (playoff level)
Posted on 6/30/17 at 9:14 pm to wildtigercat93
but jimmy butler and hayward probably would have

The George trade tells me he's really going to L.A. next season no matter what. No team wanted to give up much of anything because they know he's a 1 year rental.

I'm just saying Danny Ainge can wipe his tears with multiple lottery picks in the future and multiple top 5 draft picks currently on the roster.

and all im saying is that at some point, assets need to become something

I love it when the NBA insiders lose their shite over a ridiculous trade

Gotta wait to see what it looks like. We can all agree PG joining BOS doesn't make them better than CLE, right? Not right now at least.
Posted on 6/30/17 at 9:19 pm to theducks
im not even talking about PG
going after jimmy butler and then signing hayward puts you in a spot to at the bare minimum compete with cleveland. you have basically resigned yourself hoping that your young assets develop to compete in a post lebron eastern conference

True. It's a gamble. The competition isn't there in the future though. You got Philly anddddd.... :chirp:
And Philly is a bit of a gamble too.
Oh I forgot the Bucks. Now it would be funny if Giannis became the new ring holder in the East

Why didn't Indy wait to see if Boston's plan thing went accordingly? Wouldn't Boston give them a much better deal?

Jesus Larry. Didn't Atlanta make an insane offer as well? George really boned them this summer leaking all that shite
