The LHSAA is fricking stupid. This is essentially a paper compliance issue. I want to hate Uhigh for doing this but when you look at it this is an LHSAA bullshite shitstorm.
This.

Not accurate at all. They played two ineligible players in 8 games this year. They were, by rule, ineligible.
100% false. You are talking out of your arse.

Did they still make the playoffs?

Parents are dumb if they allow their schools to bring over athletes their junior or senior year just to play sports over their kids/kids friends.
Parents should be reporting this shite on their own schools and raising hell to admin. If I were a parent at U High I’d be giving the coach the middle finger.

And Liberty knew it and sat on the info til the last possible moment, which is horseshite.
Is it? Recruiting another school's players out from under them is horseshite. UHigh were cheating and Liberty allowed them to make their own bed. No shoulders to cry on.

But for the letters, how were they ineligible?
So, other than not complying with the rules, what's the problem?

The rules concerning the letters provide for a $100 fine, not forfeiture of eligibility. So there's that.

U-High didn't "recruit" those kids. Liberty's baseball coach left in August to go to U-High and be an assistant and the kids followed him there. Liberty was arse-hurt over the whole situation, so they decided to wait until the last instant to turn U-High in.

Also - didn’t the kids enroll last Spring? If so, why would Liberty still have these kids in their system as enrolled students?
Yeah, I don't get this. Just have his mom show her tuition checks to UHigh. Problem solved.

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - The Louisiana High School Athletic Association (LHSAA) released the 2024 playoff brackets and pairings for select and non-select schools on Sunday, Nov. 10.
In the bracket, the U-High Cubs, who were forced to forfeit their previous wins, were reinstated to an 8-2 record. In the previous week, the Cubs were left with a 0-9 record going into their Week 10 game after rumors circulated that the school allegedly played ineligible players, The Advocate reported.
According to LHSAA, the power rankings for U-High now reflect an 8-2 record due to a temporary restraining order issued on Friday, Nov. 8. It was filed on behalf of the school and required LHSAA to ‘withdraw its previously imposed penalties and reinstate the school’s wins until the legal matter is resolved'.

Are you saying the kids were just baseball players who happened to play a little football ?

Why does the memorandum have the logo from 2020 on it?

I do not know the full answer to that.

So they were petty … get over it.. the only relevant question is did they break the rules and play ineligible players. The answer by the info released points to yes.. I’d personally like someone to explain how they are eligible in Uhighs interpretation

So now that UHIGH is in the playoffs,
when they go to their hearing, and lose.......
Will they now forfeit any games in the playoff bracket? Or are they allow to play it out?
