Dustin didn't know what to do those last 10 seconds.

Max understood the assignment.

Max is on a different level in comparison right now and probably held back some if we're being honest. Still an enjoyable fight.

this was a stupid fight for Poirier to take to begin with. already beat the dude twice

He said the ufc basically forced him to take this one

Great fight but the younger faster fighter got it done.

If you went by faces, Poirer, but it ain't a beauty contest. Holloway.

Yeah, he wanted Gatheje. UFC wanted Holloway, who basically never gets KOd.

It was not what anyone beside ufc wanted but whatever. Porier is still a legend.

He did look noticeably slower tonight though.

10 seconds left, opponent agrees to throw and you grab him?

It was a good fight but basically just a legends fight. Neither guy is what they were years ago.

it was a clear 49-46 decision win for Max .... the only moment Dustin arguably won was in the second round.

The only shitty thing about this fight was Dustin clinching at the end
Kind of a pussy move

It probably is the right time for Poirier to retire. He's had a bunch of work done on his legs, he would be giving up speed versus younger guys.

Topuria's power must be insane. Although Poirier nearly had Holloway out in the 2nd.

Damn.

Dustin didn't want to get KOd in his last fight. It was a smart move. He wouldn't have been able to do an interview if he didn't clinch.

Max just looked like he had a little more juice tonight. It was a good fight.

Hat's off to Dustin! Great career!
