Is it a coincidence that the $38,000 DJ Fluker said Bama gave him is about the sticker price of a Dodge Charger....hmmm

This will get lost in CFB lore.

But Saban axed a buncha fat 2 years ago and went out in a limb and hired young guys who he thought could match how hungry and pissed he was.

These guys have been on a mission to ever since.

Every legendary CFB I've EVER seen has gotten lazy.

Saban is here to show everyone what a GOAT truly looks like.

Yep.

It’s usually the case that the “game passes you by” as coaches age

No sign of that happening with Saban

It tried to in about 2014.

And the people around him got lazy/he lost his edge in about 2016.

I'm gonna guess he lost his edge and stopped demanding excellence from them.

But ever since this recent overhaul CFB fans should be VERY scared.

I'm telling y'all.

Saban is on a WHOLE new war path.

Kirby has been a count and Saban is motivated to outlast him.

Lupoi was supposed to follow Sark to SC, but some issue came up and Haden decided to back off. When he ended up at Bama, I said oh boy, that's not even fair

I love Lupoi.

I feel like he's a bit over his head this early, but he's the man.

Cristobal though..

Alabama keeps losing STARS.

Cristobal is my guy

It’s past being “scared” now it’s boring as frick, he’s turned CFB into women’s basketball

i think he had a show cause

so

Sabes hired him as an analyst and everyone on here was like "oh frick" and then, of course, when the show cause was over, BOOM...LB coach

*ETA: if he didnt' have an official show cause, he was so nuclear hot that nobody would touch him until the NCAA forgot, so Bama hires him as a non-coach role until that happened

@ the butthurt up in here.

Given that, Saban only gets 25 players a year. There are more than 25 top notch football players in the country every year. Plus, Saban has only signed the #1 guy one time if I remember right in Najee Harris. I think this proves a couple of things:

1) Saban is the best Xs and Os coach in history
2) Saban's vaunted "process" is a living, breathing thing
3) Saban is the GOAT at developing the talent he has.
4) Saban has the best "vision" of any coach in history. The whole narrative on Saban was 3 yards and a cloud of dust. He's evolved his philosophy in recent years.
5) Saban is absolutely relentless and the most driven professional I've ever seen. This may be his best trait in my opinion. There have been lots of very good coaches he's "retired" because they simply got lazy. Tubby comes to mind and he damn near put Urban in the emergency room.
6) Saban's reputation of being difficult to work for couldn't be more false. Look at how many careers he's resurrected. Coaches that have been fired seemingly line up to work for this guy.

Give the man credit where it is due.

Well Saban is getting 28 this year so right off the bat you're incorrect

The butthurt is strictly from Saban being so amazing. Not sure why you had to write a 500 character bulleted post reaffirming what everyone in here is saying.

This is patently false. The only choices are not great or suck so he’s good but he wins so much because he simply out talents every one not because he’s that much better at X’s and O’s. That is the result of hard work and yes the process. The process oriented system is far superior and on that he has no peer.

So how are non Bama fans supposed to feel? They’re just so to stand in awe and saw shucks? I can simultaneously agree Saban is the best and his relentless pursuit of excellence makes him the AND that it’s bad for CFB.
