Only a few interactions:

George Foreman, Derrick Brooks, Ben Zobrist, and Cortland Finnegan. All very pleasant, I’d even say gentlemanly. Finnegan kept calling me “sir” which was respectful, but I’m not much older than him.

Haven't really interacted with any big name guys. I went to school with some guys that were "low level" big leaguers.

Have played in a few golf tournaments with Dalton Hilliard. He seemed like a good guy

Phil Mickelson was exceedingly kind to me and a buddy when we were middle school-age or so. Had us walk a hundred yards with him at a practice round signing our stuff and just chatting it up.

Later learned the whole FIGJAM thing and the claims that it's all a show, but I've heard lots of similar accounts. Which has led to my general thought that if you're that convincingly-fake-nice, who really cares?

Drew Brees is super nice, but Steve Yzerman was for sure the nicest athlete I have ever met.

The rep for Mickelson was always that he was nice to fans and kids and just a jerk with the fellow golfers, right?

Jay Williams from Duke (never met White Chocolate) was very nice to us. I think he appreciated that we weren’t bothering him while he was training a kid who I’m 99 percent certain was an 11-year old Aubrey Dawkins.

Nicest: probably Cam Jordan. Dad got us tickets to a celebrity flag football game growing up, Cam was very nice. Same with Dez Bryant.

Also met Trey Murphy in a bar on bourbon during red dress run 2 years ago. Easily the tallest dude I’ve met he was another one who was a good dude

John Daly easily. The guy let a fan bum a cigarette off of him while he was waiting to tee off at the PGA championship in Louisville.

Agreed. Richie Sexson is a great guy. Conversely, I've heard nothing good about Emmitt Smith and Doug Collins told me once you will never hearing anything good about Michael Jordan outside of his athletic ability and he was trying to be charitable when I pressed him what it was like to coach him.

Barkley and Kurt Warner are two other good guys.

Nicest: Doug Flutie, Wil Meyers, Hunter Pence

I haven’t had any interactions I would call negative, Jim Kelly was kind of brash but there were about 10 people trying to talk to him at the same time

Can't say I've met too many big names. Met a bunch of Titans over the years, but no big names other than Eddie George. He was extremely nice.

Dominique Wilkins is a super nice dude. We were both pretty ticked off waiting on valet service, but he never tried to pull rank or show anyone up and talked to me like we were old buddies for a solid 15 minutes.
