They dont watch much tv in general, and they can just get highlights on apps.
My 20-yr old nephew is a huge sports fan but i have never seem him sit down and watch a game beginning to end in any sport

Exactly. I was never that glued to the screen as a kid, even when I played sports. Especially on holidays with cousins or other people around to play with.

The NFL has done such a great job beating the drum about a non-issue like CTE that they've scared every suburban white woman into not letting Jaxxon play youth football.

Forget that, doesnt matter the generation. I could care less about watching football at that age range. Loved playing it, checking some stats and who won.

No one gave a shite about any of the NFL games at my Thanksgiving either. Practically everyone there was a CFB fan though—all ages

Many consume sports much differently than most of us. My oldest is 20 and he’s begun watching more but the 16 year old hardly watches any football. He watches highlights and condensed formats instead.. both grew up playing and the younger still plays and would rather do other things than watch.

Well as others said it’s not just the NFL, a lot of younger kids really don’t watch whole games anymore of really any sport
They mostly consume it through short videos like reels or tik toks, FF, and betting (for the college age onwards)

When I started teaching 16 years ago, I would have sports conversations with kids regularly. Now, if I ask how their weekend went and mention a big game, they are clueless. A few seem to follow the NBA. I’ve noticed student support at HS football games has dwindled too.
