I guess they couldn't afford to get the rights to his two best roles in Jaws and From Russia With Love.

I think they recently showed Jaws. It's on the TCM part of Max. Maybe they agree to not showing stuff that's available to stream there or somewhere else. Who knows?. Warner is whoring out a lot of stuff to Netflix right now too.Nearly every thread about something new on Netflix right now is stuff that was HBO material.
The guy that wrote Jaws also wrote The Deep.
I just realized Eli Wallach is in The Deep. The boat Nick Nolte dives from is his. The people who they have conflict with find out about them diving when he runs his mouth to the villagers. He kind of took over the undependable buddy role that Walter Brennan played in John Wayne and Humphry Bogart movies. He looks a little like Joe Pesci in this.
