Do yall think the lack of showing William is a studio decision or is William bad about producing video?

I think he’s just bad about setting up his tripod. It’s got to be tough surviving out there plus filming your every move.

Really glad William won. Definitely deserved it and I enjoyed every second of screen time they gave him. Him catching grouse with a stick and string is so awesome. I’m heading out to Colorado next week to hunt and I’m going to try it out as we always see grouse.

Dub ran out of food and energy. Writing was on the wall, but he was a tough arse competitor.

Timber started to annoy me. I get they want you to be entertaining, but I could give two shits about most of the “entertaining” crap they kept showing. And tapping out b/c you weren’t going to have enough money to help everyone, what a cop out. I’m sure some dumbass out there will donate money to his cause, which started to feel like that’s what he was trying to do all along. He was still an awesome competitor.

Probably was the toughest location, although it really provided a ton of food for everyone. I still think it’s important to build a shelter you can live in, as in stand up and do stuff in. 18-20 hours a darkness, you can’t just lie down all day or sit in a cramped up place. The darkness and boringness was getting to all 3 of them. William’s outside fireplace and lean two helped a lot.

This went down as one of my favorite seasons in general. Three very deserving winners that would have won numerous other seasons, based on days out there alone but also considering this was one of the harshest weather seasons as well.

Felt bad for Dub when he said he has ADHD. Once it got to where there was only 4 hours of daylight, and he's in that tiny little cabin, someone with ADHD doesn't stand a chance. His mind was probably driving him nuts. He is one of my favorite contestants ever.

Fully believe that William could live out there full time and be happy while doing it. He kept a positive attitude the entire time. Crazy good survivalist and mentally tough. Thought it was pretty crazy too how he kept catching grouse with the stick and snare. Nobody on the show had ever done that and he got a ton of grouse that way. Funny you see people missing them with their bows constantly and he just walks right up to them and string their neck.

When his wife showed up it was the first time I actually teared up a little bit. Just happy for him. She wasn't there for a few minutes and he says "Alone bring my back if you do a champions season." Dude was already ready to do it again

I think it would be interesting to learn of all the chronic health effects of past Alone participants. They’re pushing their bodies to the brink of health and some go past that before tapping or getting medically pulled.

I was really sad that he tapped. Those 2 guys were really living fairly well. A few years back they used to have an exit interview. I wish we'd get a whole show of exit interviews done after they get back to civilization. This was a good season. There were some very legit survivalists!

Great season. William was built for this. No doubt he could live out there full time.

One tough SOB.

He lives in Labrador. He literally lives where they have had actual seasons of Alone. So certain seasons of Alone is basically "try and live where William lives". His wife must be pretty hard core too.

The new season of Alone Australia is out but History channels app doesn't have it all available. You have to subscribe.

Just listened to the Alone podcast. Didn’t know that was a thing, but they do one after every episode and interview the people that tap out. It’s hosted by two former contestants and looks to be part of the history channel.

I listened to part 1 of 3 of the last episode, and they interviewed Dub. Was pretty cool to hear. He said he had hundreds of pounds of fish. Said he caught over 100 fish and was eating maybe 10lbs of fish a day. Also said he had no where near the foraging opportunities others did, and only saw 2 grouse the entire time.

That fish freezer William built on the lake was pretty awesome. I don’t remember seeing that before on Alone.

I just got around to the last episode. Easily a top three Alone season along with seasons 6(Jordan) and 7(Roland).

William is awesome and would love to break bread with him and his family. The ice box, the accent, the grouse snares, the eating raw organ meat, etc. He is a tough and happy SOB.

Plus, as someone said he was already talking about coming back for another season.

I’m catching up on the season now. About to start episode 11 and Timber, Dub and William are still left on day 65. Timber should be a big favorite and I feel like they could all make it past day 100 but if William and Dub knew how set Timber was they’d probably call it rather than pushing themselves to the brink. I thought Timber saying he’s struggling and wanting to go home so badly was just to create some drama since he seems to be doing so well.

Someone commented earlier that they should do some sort of running total/update on how many fish someone has caught and how many lbs of meat they have acquired.
watching the show I’m constantly thinking of this. Would love for this to be a thing. This season has been much better than the past ones. seems you’re seeing way more survival techniques and less whining in recent episodes.

why don’t they do a season in Africa or something? I’d love to see a new terrain.

everything is lake/forest and freezing cold.

put these guys in a burning hot desert
