I had completely forgotten about this show. I see it’s on Hulu. I don’t remember many details, other than I really liked it at the time, so I’m going to watch it again.

Thanks

HBO’s K Street was great and amazingly current at the time but I don’t see how that could have continued after a Presidential election cycle.

I don’t think it’s available for streaming anywhere.

True Detective

Matthew and Woody were incredible.

Thank God there were no further seasons to taint the name.

These are great recs, all mine got stolen. It'd be awesome if could add where they streamed, many of em that I'm interested in look like they may be paid only. Fine if it is, but I subscribe to every damn service so figure I've got most things covered nowadays.

Godless is a great answer and I would like to add Queens Gambit.

Cliffhangers (1979)

It was a show based on the premise of the old movie serials where all 3 segments ended every week with a (drumroll) cliffhanger.

Each episode contained 3 different mini-shows: a mystery, a sci-fi and a horror one with Dracula.

I loved it as a kid.

I was very disappointed this show didn’t get a second season. Loosely based on the story of King David, David vs Goliath. Had a solid cast. Ian McShane, Sebastian Stan, Brian Cox.

From IMDB

"Gritty crime drama set in a corrupt decaying city near the Canada-U.S. border about the leader of a vicious new gang called the EZs, a dedicated cop who's struggling to stop him, and an ex-con forced to work for the gangster."

Vinyl on HBO- It was produced by Scorsese and starred Bobby Cannevalo, Ray Romano and Max Casella. It was outstanding

Sports Night on NBC- written/produced by Aaron Sorkin in the thick of his West Wing success

Traffic Light on Fox- I don’t remember anything about now it except it was really good, and I was PISSED it was cancelled. I wish I could re-watch it without buying it.

Love Monkey on CBS: record exec gets fired from big label and starts his own small, eclectic label. Stars Tom Cavanaugh.
