I love this show, but I just don't see Kevin doing what he did to Marco. I know Kevin can be wild and doesn't think, but to brutally murder someone like that? I just don't see it.
My prediction for season 3: Nolan kills O'bannon. Nolan will think O'bannon was a bad influence on his dad, and will figure out that O'bannon has the info to take down the Rayburn family. The Rayburn family is the last good thing Nolan has and will do whatever it takes to preserve it.

Well he has a baby coming, Marco just told him he has everything he needs to put them all in prison and he knows Marco is going to talk to O'Bannon RIGHT NOW. Also he's a moron. So yeah, I can see him killing Marco in a desperation move. He is John and Danny's brother afterall, and also is his parents' son.

I wonder what Gilbert's angle is?
What is he gonna do with the boatyard?
What is he gonna do with John Leguizamo?

Finished it yesterday. At the end of last season, I REALLY thought this had to be a one-season show. Danny was so integral to the plot that his death had me thinking there's no way this show could continue. I was amazed how season 2 was able to live up to one and even heighten the intensity. Season 1 was a very slow build, but 2 was intense from the start. The kid playing Nolan is incredible, and I had to look him up to see if he was related to Danny in real life.
As others have said, my wife and I spent all of season 2 saying "Kevin is such a freaking dick!" So many directions they can go in season 3 - I'm really looking forward to it. So true about the John/Walter White comparisons. I really just want everything to work out in the end for John, but you know at some point it's all crashing down. Totally lived up to season 1, and I just can't believe they were able to pull it off. I can't recall any other show that I thought was as much "done" after one season.

The Rayburns are one screwed up family. For a while I viewed Meg as the least infected of the siblings but she's as much of a dumbass and self serving as any of them. Lying about who was in her home, when she didn't have to say a word, was as stupid as it gets.
So many of the characters in season two became whiny and annoying. Kevin is by far the worst but John's wife and daughter are close runner ups.
John Leguizamo delivered and knocked it out of the park.

Run drugs through it. And use John, once he gets Sheriff, to help him.

At times comically so. I think it was E03 when every other scene was one of them letting out an exasperated "Fuuuuuck!" I like the show, but I was laughing through one of the early episodes because of this. Legit drinking game.
I liked the development of Nolan's character. Even as he begins to soften a bit thanks to some stability and acceptance, he's got his own big secret to drive him crazy.
Kevin's done something wrong now, so he can't confess to anything, so expect the lies to spiral exponentially next season with the stakes higher than ever; Kevin a father, John the sheriff, etc.

Agreed. I liked the season overall but there was some bad/lazy writing. Meg isn't that dumb and while Kevin is they wrote him to be evil and the idea that he would turn on his brother who always took care of him? Marco would certainly have wanted Kevin's statement. As if he would rely completely on O'Bannon who didn't actually see anything while Kevin is ready to tell you he did. I get that it moved the story forward but for every "frick Kevin he's such a pussy" I yelled at the screen I also thought this wasn't the best writing sometimes and he wouldn't do/say that.
And yes with the wife and daughter, it was just some seriously manufactured drama. But as I said this is some damn good TV. First season was some of the best I've seen. Second was really good. I hope the 3rd is better than 2 and that Kevin loses everything and offs himself

I was skeptical about season 2, but it was really good. As Kevin said, Danny just won't go away.
However guys, prepare yourselves. There likely won't be a season three. Florida has ended their film tax credits, and many shows are relocating. But Bloodline depends so much on the locale and atmosphere, how do you film it anywhere but the Keys?

You're right. That was another piece of bad writing. Both Kevin and Meg offered to provide Marco, a homocide detective, with first hand accounts of what occurred the day of Danny's death and Marco turns them away? That would never have happened.
The acting on this show is top notch and while disappointed in some of the directions they moved the characters I can't complain too much about one of the better shows being offered.

I think it was more that Marco thought he had the case locked up. He didn't need their confessions and most certainly didn't want to possibly have to give a deal for someones confession/implication of the others. I think at this point he wants them all to go down and they can talk when they are in custody; not a confession given to a friend in his private residence. He wants that on record and on camera in the interrogation room.

Exactly. How can you critique the writing yet not understand that? Lol

He didn't offer Kevin the opportunity to come into his office. How can you not understand that? And you never can say you fully have a case locked up so you take a confession. I can understand his personal issue with Meg but Kevin is there telling you he was there. But you're right, a cop wouldn't want that.

But that would make Marco stupid. O'Bannon didn't see a thing. He cannot testify to John being there or to what took place. All he has is a necklace that could easily be disputed. The daughter simply says, "that's not the one" and Marco has nothing.
No homicide detective worth his salt is going to chastise and dismiss potential witnesses.

He banged Meg, he was emotionally involved. The argument can be made he wasn't focused and wanted to bring Meg and Kevin down, not give them an immunity deal.

Then he was not worth his salt on this case.
It's simple. He had nothing with O'Bannon except hearsay and a necklace that only John's daughter could collaborate. Marco had to be smart enough to know it was a toss of the dice with O'Bannon.
Now Meg and Kevin come forward wanting to supply first hand knowledge and Marco dismisses them. He never even suggests they come see him at the sheriffs office. It doesn't play.

He didn't even know what O'Bannon had, *totally, really, in writing, taped.
