I have enjoyed House and CSI over the years but both hard run their courses. Watched a few episodes of Terra Nova but it wasn't very good. I have been enjoyed Awake but I did wonder about the longevity of the dual dream state convention. Oh well, I guess we will never know.

This could have been a really good show, kinda sucks the way they went about it.

Awake

Really? I actually still enjoy this show.

House

I will be sad to see it go. But as someone else mentioned, it really has run it's course. Hugh Laurie just grew tired of it, despite getting the big money.

This was actually starting to come around, pretty interesting still.

Terra Nova

Holy Moly, boy did this have potential. Shitty acting, and too childish. Im pissed this is over with. I wouldn't even mind seeing it get picked up by Sci-Fy and be a little darker. But their low budget CGI on the Dino's would look pretty bad.

As for new shows, I was just perusing the list for the new Fall lineup and the following seemed interesting/worth a watch to me:

quote:

The Following (Fox) An edge-of-your-seat thriller about the complex relationship between diabolical serial killer Joe Carroll (James Purefoy) and the damaged FBI profiler, Ryan Hardy (Kevin Bacon), who once took him down. After Joe escapes, Hardy is reactivated and discovers that he is no longer just hunting one man, but a massive cult of serial killers created and manipulated during Carroll's time in prison. Kevin Williamson will write and executive-produce. Natalie Zea, Nico Tortorella, Jeananne Goossen, Shawn Ashmore, Adan Canto, Billy Brown, Kyle Catlett and Valorie Curry will also star.

First Look at The Following

quote:

Zero Hour (ABC) A skeptics magazine editor (Anthony Edwards) gets pulled into one of the most compelling conspiracies in human history. Prison Break's Paul Scheuring wrote the pilot and executive-produces with Lorenzo DiBonaventura and Dan McDermott. Scott Michael Foster, Addison Timlin, Jacinda Barrett, Michael Nyqvist and Carmen Ejogo will star.

quote:

Revolution (NBC) A high-octane action drama that follows a group of characters struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. Supernatural's Eric Kripke will write and executive-produce with J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk. Giancarlo Esposito, Billy Burke, David Lyons, Tim Guinee, Graham Rogers, Tracy Spiridakos, Andrea Roth, JD Pardo, Zak Orth and Anna Lise Philips will star.

The following could be interesting, but maybe not for multiple episodes.

quote:

Last Resort (ABC) A renegade crew of a nuclear submarine, go on the run after defying an order to fire nuclear missiles. They find sanctuary at a NATO base where they declare themselves the world's smallest nuclear nation.

quote:

Next Caller (NBC) A gender comedy focusing on a brash, alpha male DJ (Dane Cook) and his new plucky, feminist co-host (Collette Wolfe). From Weeds producer Stephen Falk. Joy Osmanski and Wole Parks will also star. Ryan Devlin and Jeffrey Tambor will guest-star.

quote:

666 Park Avenue (ABC) An innocent Midwestern couple (Dave Annable and Rachael Taylor) get hired as resident managers of an Upper East Side apartment building in New York, with the owner played by Lost's Terry O'Quinn. Unbeknownst to them, the residents have all made deals with the Devil to have their desires fulfilled.

quote:

Elementary (CBS) A modern take on the cases of Sherlock Holmes in which Sherlock (Eli Stone's Jonny Lee Miller) is a recovering addict and consultant for the NYPD. Lucy Liu will portray his Watson.

Dane was never all that "on". He had a shot at a few starring roles, sucked, then gets another shot with a tv show. For a guy so terribly unfunny, I think he's doing alright for himself.

So, did Awake and River actually get to do a legit ending or is it the way of Flash Forward and The Event where it's just all hanging out there? I love Awake but fell behind. Not worth catching up on if I don't get an ending.

I was kind of surprised GCB was cancelled. My fiancee watched it every week and I enjoyed almost all of the episodes.

Terra Nova (Fox)

Only two I watched.

I enjoyed both but won't miss them too much. I'll definitely miss the River more than TN though. The River was cool and kept my attention the whole series (even though it was only like 8 episodes). Terra Nova had an AWESOME premise, but something was definitely missing in the execution.

Glad I didn't get into Alcatraz like I originally planned to.

Also:

Napoleon Dynamite (Fox)

Did that ever air? I thought it hadn't started yet. Don't get me wrong, I would never watch it and have no idea who the frick thought that show would be a good idea, but I didn't think that had started yet...that couldn't have gone for more than half a season, huh?

serious question ipodking.....are you gay? I just don't think there's a hetero male out there that loves Glee, Whitney, Chelsea Handler, Gossip Girl, all the vampire shows, pretty little liars, and has a crush on jimmy fallon.

It can't be much worse than it was on Fox. The CGI was one of the low points of the show IMO (but the acting was first and foremost).

Awake (NBC)

I watched the first two episodes and thought it had a really good concept, but didn't keep up with it after that. I think there was just entirely too much too keep with right away and probably turned off some casual viewers like i would have been. Like once you missed an episode you had no idea what was going on.

I Hate My Teenage Daughter (Fox)

Gee...that sounds like it had so much potential. Why do networks try and be cool/witty with these horrible arse names? "I hate my teenage daughter". Really?....I mean really?
