Seems like they are just looking for stuff. It could easily be explained as having been in the Truck.

The Dexter Subreddit is BIG mad about the finale

I don't see how anybody can be upset about the ultimate destination (Harrison follows the code and makes Dexter face his crimes before killing him) but they can take issue with the route getting there.

The finale was so good that it's a little frustrating that it had to be rushed because there was a lot of filler in earlier episodes. Not giving Batista a face to face with Dexter was a big miss, IMHO.

That must have legit intended this to be a finale because, if they planned to keep it going, they would have needed to give Harrison some sort of epilogue, something to keep us on the hook.

Logan's dead. They were loading a body bag and him being dead is what made the ending work.

That was a really solid finale and a great way to end the show. Overall I really enjoyed this season. Kurt and Harrison were great additions.

It was an outstanding ending. Halfway through the episode, I told my wife that there’s no way this is the end I just knew that it was going to continue for another season. Definitely never saw it coming

It is generally best to let fiction wash over you or better yet just float on it to wherever it carries you. There is certainly bad fiction but this isn't that. When you go back and nitpick things you often forget the emotion you had at the moment. In the case of the gun and Angela knowing their whereabouts if you can think of a plausible reason then just accept that could be the reason, we don't want to have every detail/motivation of movies or series spoon-fed to us when in all likelihood it will bog down the pace of the plot.

So I’m guessing the series continues with Harrison and with Dexter staring in the Harry role?

Totally agree, but I'd still love to know how Kurt managed to kidnap and kill Molly F*cking Park

I just figured that his henchmen grabbed her sometime before attacking Dexter but her joining the runaways in his museum definitely didn't fit.

I thought I’d be pissed if Dexter got cought or died but I legit felt bad when he killed Logan because he was a good man who always did good by Harrison. Once he killed Logan I wanted Dexter to die.

I enjoyed the series.

Also agreed. That is more of a plot dead end than a plot hole though. I think this could easily have been two 10 episode seasons with Angela finding out that Jim was Dexter as the 1st season cliffhanger. This would have allowed the writers to develop Kurt more. I would have enjoyed a lot more of watching Dexter deal with the world closing in on him and could have given more depth to his ebb and flow relationship with Harrison.

In the end, I just wanted more because this season pretty much washed the bad taste out of my mouth that especially season 8 left me with.

Great ending. Would have loved Dexter being caught and life in prison with Harrison visiting him over the years as he became a killer and dexter being a live dark passenger. Or, Dexter killing Harrison and Angela and on the run. So many ways maybe but I am good with finish to Dexter.

Very impressed. great way to redeem the old show.
The show should receive some awards just for fixing the old ending for fans.

Did not like the ending. Dexter had to die at some point and it was always going to be Harrison that did it. Still not a fan, I know it's different because his child is involved but Dexter killing Logan was ridiculous. There was basically no evidence against him.

ETA: Still better than the original ending

ETA: The Batista "I'll be there tomorrow" was also bullshite.

That’s going to be a hell of a news cycle. Two of the country’s greatest serial killers dead or disappeared in the same small town within a day of each other.

Really felt empty handed not having Dexter and Angela talk one last time after the discovery of all the bodies.

Spin-off series with Angela becoming an FBI profiler after solving two huge serial killer cases on the same day.

Definitely a series finale with that. Hate that a chick who had a serial killer in her town for 25 years and couldn’t figure out shite is the one to finger the bay harbor butcher. Also kind of dampens dexters sacrifice by her sending him down the road. Dexter was hoping he would have a normal life but chick just says hit the road Harrison

I was thinking that the captain would see the dead women from Kurts bunker and then decide to let Dexter go on emotion and his mission to get rid of criminals.

But that changed once Logan got killed. Which was a bad storyline. Don’t see the point of that.

I think one more season coulda been worked in easily. Then kill Dexter off.

So now Harrison is gonna be fine emotionally ? On the road after killing your father ? Kinda stupid too

Chief Bishop fell arse backwards into one hell of a book deal and a mid six figure salary for life as some cable network's go-to crime analyst.

And with Logan dead and Angela hitting the jackpot, Teddy fell arse backwards into being the new chief of police after only about four weeks on the job.
