Doesn't really start to get that weird until the fourth book and doesn't get really really weird until his son starts writing.
I'm pumped for this though. The first two were about as good of a blockbuster movie as you're going to get these days.

WB is still playing chicken with Disney for the December 18th release date. IMAX had an investors meetings a couple weeks ago and confirmed Dune has IMAX exclusivity for three weeks and Avengers Doomsday will only have IMAX in select international markets.
I don’t see WB pushing it back because it won’t be eligible for the Oscars. Moving it up is getting less likely by the day as the IMAX schedule fills out.
We may really get Dunesday. Disney and Sony already admitted defeat when they didn’t move Spider-Man 4 out of The Odyssey’s 4-week IMAX window.

Pretty sure that trailer showed the stoneburner scene.
I am very excited for this movie, even though the 2nd one was kind of a letdown for me.

I didn't watch either of the first two til they came out on streaming and they are a couple of my fav movies of the last few years. This trailer looks great, so hopeful they can land the ship.
Obviously, I'm excited too, having not read the books.

They'll probably show more footage of Jihad battle scenes.
The movie will likely focus more on Children of Dune than Messiah.
