If we're strictly talking personal favorite, then mine is Saved By the Bell. But here are some of my other favorites:

- Saved By the Bell
- The Office
- Fresh Prince
- Arrested Development
- Community
- Scrubs
- Wonder Years (if it counts as sitcom, which it may not)
- Cosby Show
- South Park
- Rules of Engagement

That's a solid top ten off the top of my head.

I know many have said "Friends" is a favorite, and many have said it hasn't aged well. I grew up with "Friends" and now I look at "How I Met Your Mother" as an updated "Friends"--similar format, plots, sets, but quicker and deeper emotion and humor. (my wife disagrees)

Though probably not intended, when looked at over time, it seems unfair to compare a sitcom from the 1960s or 1970s to a sitcom done after the 1990s.

From separate beds for a married couple on the Dick Van Dyke show or TV censorship rules not allowing Barbara Eden to show her belly button on I Dream of Jeannie . . . you go to Seinfeld having the no masturbation contest and Sofia Veraga walking around in a bikini to entice the Phil Dunphy character. The difference in what can be joked about on TV now compared to back then is blatantly unfair.

Older sitcoms seemed to be better written and had more “slapstick” comedy, but more recent sitcoms are better because of the scope of material they can cover.

The first few years of MASH were hilariously funny with Trapper, Henry Blake and Frank Burns. Once Klinger started wearing men's clothes I lost interest.

The best ones had Colonel Flagg.....obviously

It really hasn't. I can still watch it sometimes, but it really does not hold up well at all. Some of it is still funny, and some of it is pretty cringeworthy. I'm not even sure why that is, but it definitely is IMO.
