Yes. It's made of rare Valyrian steel.
Also:
It is the ancestral sword of House Mormont of Bear Island.
Jeor Mormont passed it on to his son Jorah. When Jorah was exiled by Ned Stark, he left it behind. Jeor gave it to Jon Snow after he killed the white walker in season 1(?). Changed the pommel from a bear (Sygil of House Mormont) to a dire wolf (Sygil of House Stark).

no spoilers, but im guessing the only way the white walkers dont resurrect is if they are killed by the steel or dragon glass?

Wow that was epic, best battle scene I have seen in a while and maybe ever. Wow it just kept going and getting better.

Yeah pretty much.
Also there's a difference between White Walkers and wights
The WW are the big army looking frickers like the one Jon fought. They are killed by Valeriyan steel and dragon glass
The wights are the resurected dead. They can be killed by fire as well

The white walkers look so fricking awesome, especially on the horses. I bet they even cooler looking than that fat dude could have imagined.

Just an epic episode. I thought next week was going to be the big one this season, but it's going to be hard to top this week..
One thing I'm wondering. Are the wildlings all taller than normal people or is Jon Snow just really short? I know there are giants, but even the Finn guy was a solid foot taller than him and the red beard guy is always looking down at him. I don't remember them bringing that up before. But maybe that's something that makes them different than regular people south of the wall..

Kit Harington is 5'8". So yeah, most people look down on him. I know because I'm the same height.

Thanks. I just didn't know if that was a thing or not. When he was talking to all the elders, it almost looked like they were doing Lord or the Rings type of scaling to make him look smaller. Hard to believe he's 5'8. He might be doing some Tom Cruise-like rounding up..

A couple questions.. Where is Varys? He should have beat Tyrion to Danny. Or did he go somewhere else?
Also, what does Sansa do different now that she knows that 2 of her brothers might be alive? I'm kind of thinking it focuses her a lot more. Gives her something to look forward to or fight for. Jumps her storyline a bunch and I'm excited to think she might actually do something significant now (like cut Ramsey's throat right after sex)..

The Hardhome sequence aside, I loved seeing Cersei suck water off the ground. Tyrion's exchange with Dany was great. Her line about breaking the wheel got me pumped.

Just watched it. Damn. Those WW are boss. That a-hole on the wall better let them through. Shouldn't have watched it this late. I won't sleep now, too pumped.
