Good episode. It really feels like the old X Files.

This episode was as good if not better than the original series. I hope they all live up to this one.

I don't know why some actresses seem to think they need all of these botox injections, and facial tucks and stuff, but I think the vast majority of them would be better off without that crap.

I think she's probably gotten more work done recently. I honestly thought she looked great in The Fall and in Hannibal over the past few years.

Great episode again tonight, and next week looks amazing. Cannot wait.

I have a feeling the hype for episodes 3 & 4 will deliver.

Episode 1 was not terrible, but it was a little disappointing. I think they could have done a better job, but it accomplished its goal of putting all the pieces in place for a new run.

Episode 2 was very good. It felt like an old episode, and I mean that in a good way. The beginning reminded me of "Drive" and it was kind of a mix of a Monster of the Week and a mythology episode. It was much better than the second movie or most of the eps from the last few seasons. Suspense, horror, a bit of comedy, and some emotional heft as well.

Episode 3 looks very promising. I always loved the comedy eps.

Episode 1 was a ok, you needed to reintroduce the world. Episode 2 last night was very good. It was like an old X-file deal. The X-files is so much better when they are dealing with the non mythology stuff. The mythology episodes make Mulder sound like a loon instead of an Oxford educated top FBI profiler. In the monster episodes, it is always one step ahead of Scully and revealing new truths to her. Excellent episode.

Whoever said the dialogue was forced was right. The actors almost seem to not care or are on sedatives. Mulder looks/sounds really bad. I still enjoyed it.

I'm a huge X-Files fan and I agree with some of this.

Someone writing the show thinks they are witty and they aren't. They tried to write snappy dialog and it is almost laughably bad.

Episode 1 needed to be 2 hours and there needed to be more to the shift in conspiracy than Mulder meeting one freaking chick.

The speed, tone and writing were hot garbage. I'll keep watching, but I'm shocked by the overwhelmingly positive reviews.

The reviews were not overwhelmingly positive about the first episode.

A lot of reviewers thought the dialogue was lame, the direction listless, and the monologues paranoid and unbelievable.
I'd have to agree.

Rushed is the best way to describe it. Mulder changing the theories of a lifetime based on one chick was just straight up lunacy.

The TV guy character was horrible.

Still happy they are returning but I struggled to keep from turning it off.

He said it was the chick and seeing the alien recreated technology for the first time; in the writer's defense.

Solid episode... although Scully's voice is, I don't know, she sounds like a 90 year old lady or something.

So, are these two siblings, the government created mutants going to join the X-Men? Hell, that girl could take Jean Grey's place.

I loved episode 2. It reminded me of X-files again, and it hasn't felt that way since before the movie and much of the last two seasons.

Episode 1 was pretty bad, but you gotta remember they're trying to bring in a bunch of people who have never seen X-files and get them all excited for it. Only problem is, I don't think it really worked. It was rushed, and the plot was a little, eh.

Anyways, If they keep making episodes like Episode 2, and the mythology episodes kind of match up with that pace and style, I'll enjoy it.

I haven't been very impressed. The actors, the dialogue, everything seems old and tired. It seems like more of an X Files imitation than the real thing. I know Duchovny has made his whole career off of "dry wit" but he looks completely disinterested. Mulder always had an intensity about him but now he looks like he wants to say the hell with the truth I need a nap. Joel McHale? He was just as awful in this as he was in Deliver Us from Evil, please quit putting him in serious roles

Couldn't disagree more. Episode 2 is vintage X-Files. I'm all in for this series. Hope they do more than 6 episodes.
