There won't be just a third movie. They are splitting Mockingjay into two movies. Greedy fricks.

I feel like they left a lot out of the second book but I really don't see how they justify making the 3rd book into 2 movies. If this is true (not doubt you, just don't feel like checking) then I can see why she's adding materials.

The problem with the third book is how heavily it stresses the intended theme.

It's like Collins was slapping teenage girls across the face saying, no, no, you stupid girl....you are missing the point.

The movie was the best I have seen since inception.

Way way better than the first movie.

Reading the third book now.

So, I start busting out laughing when they introduce the tributes. My wife looks at me weird. Why was I laughing? Because all I could think about was this:

I'm very surprised to see some posters stating that it was better than the first one, especially since the quality of each novel dropped significantly. I plan on seeing it in the next couple of days, and I read the books over 2 years ago. Will post my review on here this week.

Despite the book being a little inferior to the first, this movie was definitely better. My wife complained about all the stuff they left out, but luckily my reading retention is awful so I don't remember as much. The only thing I thought they should've kept is the mockingjay watch.

Great freaking flick. Only saw half of the first one but daughter wanted to see it so we went tonight. Came straight home and watched the first one. Can't wait for part 3.

Definitely jumping on board the "much better than the first" train here. Really well done IMO.

Flesh out some of the "oh she got knocked out so here's a recap of what happened" and there's plenty. I don't remember a ton from when I read the books, but I know at the time I was thinking it could be made into 2 movies instead of crammed into one so this wouldn't shock me.

The first movie got good reviews too, but I thought it was very meh. Didn't impress me at all. . . I'll still probably watch Catching Fire. Out of curiosity, and because of Jennifer Lawrence.

Saw it last night. Thought it was really good and well done. Better than the first. The second book was my favorite, though.

First book absolutely is better but doesn't always translate that way on the screen.

I thought it was ok. Saw it in IMAX, felt like they did a pretty good job of sticking to the book storylines.

Frankly I've never thought Mockingjay would make a good movie, maybe I'll be wrong.

Definitely redeemed themselves after a subpar first movie. I really enjoyed it and seriously hope they stick with this director for the final 2 movies.

Just finished watching it. I admit that Catching Fire is better than the first one. But these movies just don't do much for me. They're predictable, unmoving, and the acting isn't all that convincing (although the host of the HGs TV show gets an A+). All of that, of course, is only my opinion. I'll probably be in the minority on this one. . .

Overall, I'd give it 6.5 or 7/10.
