You’re right he did have guests that were on both sides of the aisle and I wasn’t insinuating that he was afraid per se just I found it to be a cop out from what his usual demeanor was when giving monologues and the like.

This tells me that you did not watch his show last night.
A large percentage of the show was railing about Biden's age. He want after Trump, as well, but most of his time was spent on Biden's age.

I used to be a really big JS fan but dunno if I still am. He did seem to lose the thread on stuff like the transitioning kids issue. And getting riled up about the use of the word owner for NBA and NFL teams was legitimately Alzheimer's era Biden retarded.

I have zero interest in this temporary re-tread either way but Biden's age and mental capacity is the elephant in the room and even the most left wing propaganda outlets know that they can't ignore it and have to touch upon it in some way. Every swinging dick who even briefly glances at the news is saying "hey, that guy looks, acts and sounds like my Grandpa did right before we put him in a nursing home".
Not sure what JS will be like going forward but I suspect the plan is get it out of the way early, use it to establish claims of objective neutrality, then use the remaining 95% of your ammo to attack all things Republican.
