Coop got a real mess on his hands now with that single mom.
Ain't it her settlement money that financed that well?

Agreed 100%.
The dinner scenes where she flips out are already old.

So much wasted time on their dumb bs. Can't stand them at this point.
Seems like Sam Elliott is Billy Bob's dad?

The Mother/Daughter comedy act continued to deliver.
They could get in a car wreck on the way home and stay in a coma for the rest of the season and it would be beneficial for the show.

I like their insanity, but only in small doses. The pasta scene was too much, it could have been far better with her storming off, slamming doors, etc.
Need more bikini scenes with them.

Let's hope Cooper uses some of his new found wealth on a dentist and please kill off Angela and Aynsley. They're useless.

They are to this show what Sheridan sliding horses was to Yellowstone.
They are simply a time filler.
Simple and easy way in each episode for him to eat up minutes

Where to even start?
Tommy with the lesson about breakfast being the most important meal. Dude is just out there educating people.
Although who came up with the change your oil every 3000 miles thing?
mosquitos so big the can frick a turkey flat footed?
The mean girl wannbe whores talking shite to Demi and then getting their shite cancelled.
I'm studying abroad now
Europe?
No, Midland.
Precipitated?
It hasn't rained since i moved there
Breeding athletes with cheerleaders
Hybrid Vigor
what did you just call me?
You're using a lot of words I don't understand
I'm doing it on purpose
Do we really need the wife throwing a tantrum in every episode?
Need more daughter in the cheer outfit

I don't think Sheridan knows how to write women characters. He tries to avoid the cringe woke way of portraying women but swings so far in the other direction that they still end up being cringe.
Keep in mind that I watch pretty much everything the dude puts out so I do like him overall, but I would actually go so far as to say he isn't great with writing characters in general. He writes really funny dialogue, the stories are interesting even if they can go over the top, but I think he focuses so much on making people into an archetype of something (cowboy, landman) that he doesn't really develop them as actual people.
Like Rip in Yellowstone on one hand is the great cowboy who seems like he has a good heart and wants to generally do right, but on the other he pretty regularly murders people without ever showing any kind of remorse for it
Also, Hyper sexualizing high schoolers, even if they are seniors, is weird.

It was shite. Maybe some people do act like this, but it was extreme over the top, so much that it ruined the episode. She should have been tossed out in her hot arse for treating everyone that way.

I don't think Sheridan particularly likes Texas women of a high social strata. Seems like all they are about is using sex to marry into money.
Have you ever met rich Texas women?
It’s an accurate depiction

Tommy needs to send her arse back to where ever she went when they divorced.

Overall I enjoyed the 1st episode of the new season but I'm with you guys about the wife and daughter. They're plenty pleasant to look at but their characters just grates on my nerves. I can see just like the first season I'm going to be fast forwarding through their parts

Demi Moore's husband dies and she's now in charge of a billion dollar oil company and got to give the speech of her life to cutthroat investors. so Tommy Norris gives her a pep talk.
But ... right before she takes the stage she somehow gets mind-fricked by a couple of gold-digging-thots in the bathroom.
All things considered seems true to life. So good writing there.

Some of yall need to learn what entertainment means. It’s not supposed to be like real life. Real life is usually boring

Daughter isn’t getting a 29 on her ACT and being that stupid.
I thought the admissions lady acting like a 29 was subpar was redundant. I made a 29 on the ACT and I was in honors classes in high school. A 29 will get you into about any college except the absolute elite like Ivy League and places like Stanford or Vanderbilt
