So Cooper is now is bed with the cartel guy and that’s about to be a story. Doubt he sees a dollar and hitting on all 6 wells? Yeah there’s a lot at play here interested to see how it unfolds
How cooked is Mtex over the lawsuit?
What was Monty hiding and why’d he get that 400 mil to his personal account?

Can we start a new thread or at least re-title this one?

Cooper telling his dad he loved him was great, as was BBT reaction. Best episode so far

I agree, it’s kind of silly. Beth would have probably fought a couple of the lawyers after she gave them a glimpse of her big brain.

Man I get so tired of the smarter than everyone girl boss shite from Sheridan. One single attorney isn’t going to go into that room. Especially if it’s a company as big as the one she’s representing. She’s not as bad as Beth, who may have been the worst written character in tv history, but that shite gets old to me.
Especially considering that the smarter than everyone female attorney has never once been in those types of conversations and you’ve got your seasoned attorney who knows that language like the back of his hand sitting right next to her. But sure. Let’s let the rookie, spunky woman go talk to those people.
Her big legal moment in season 1 was overly contrived lor her to appear “smart” and then added on the cheap trick of threatening to file a harassment complaint. The whole thing seemed unnecessary after Billy bob just answered one question which would have been known from the start.
Yet Billy bob was in awe of her that day and then she gets hired by the company.

I don’t like the woman lawyer character at all.
I like the Mexican girlfriend or whatever the hell she is now, even less.
The rest of the show is great.

The mom and daughter annoy me with how utterly stupid/dumb/ignorant they are.

They’re fine with me. It’s ok because they are pretty.
If they were ugly, unwatchable.
Good casting.
Also makes me think, is this the only show around with no gay characters?

Mexican single-mom-girlfriend bouta pull some evil arse shite.
Pro tip: Your gf cries and says she doesn't care about money;
and also starts nagging you about your job a only few months into your new career ...
run, don't walk.
Coop baby-daddy #2. He just don't know it yet.

Also 'itty-bitty-titties and a bob' lawyer bouta get got.
As soon as she got sassy with the old-man lawyer her fate was sealed.

That story line didn't bother me as much. She thought she lost her 2nd significant other in a year or less when she couldn't get a hold of him. I get her reaction- I even get blaming it on the money instead of 'I can't keep losing husbands to the oil field'. I just hope that they either cut bait or the reconcile and move forward. No back and forth
Mom/daughter can't move to Ft. Worth fast enough. Please stop taking valuable time in each episode.
I was wondering if we were going to find out what BBT's mom's addiction was. I kind of thought it might have been early onset Dimentia/Alzheimers by some of the things they said. I was surprised to hear it was cocaine- just kind of random.

Im gonna bet from the Cartel.
This was a decent episode. The exchange between Billy and his son was great. But as you can see, women in his series are either flaming bitches that can do anything they want or dumb as a brick

The daughter's lines are completely moronic, they really should have gone in a better direction for her character.

That's too easy. If there are to be four seasons or whatever, there will have to be much back and forth or her character recedes into the background.

I know I'll probably get downvoted to oblivion, but I'm not sure I'll make it through this second season.
Too much mom & daughter so far, not sure I can take a season with them getting so much screen time.

I agree with you and said the same thing last week
Its so overblown that it is hurting what could be a amazing series

Agreed
...and they need to get rid of the ugly illegal Mexican skank that the son is banging. As soon as she started her nonsense with me in the backyard when he was washing off the oil off his body, I would have called ICE on her.
