I would've had much stronger words for my son about misdirected emotions and such. It's fun for the show but in real life moving in on a widow like that is a terrible idea for so many reasons.
Fair. And not to deep dive on the main chick element of the show lol But they’re both pretty young and dumb. And nothing point to the son being disingenuous or opportunistic. People do things like that as a result of trauma all the time
Hell, look how left it went when Hunter consoled his brothers widow. It can clearly happen to anyone

I'm guessing Andy Garcia set BBT up and killed his own people to make it look like he was BBT's friend. He made it clear he wanted in on the oil business. The question is what would M-Tex need from the cartels besides protection?

Stripper in lime green had smokin' hot body. Otherwise a meh season ending episode

With Monty dead and the estate tied up in probate, aren’t they going to need cash?

The other oil company came to M-Tex because they didn't have the capital. I don't see why they would bet the entire estate on a cartel deal which comes with a ton of baggage and downside, but I guess that tracks in a Taylor Sheridan storyline.

BBT says no to Garcia.
Garcia starts fishing around and finds a young upstart in the oil business. Tommy’s son naively gets caught up in the Mexican cartel’s run at the oil business.

I could easily see Tommy simply preferring to have his truck/office with him and moving on his own schedule rather than flying on a predetermined round trip.
As far as deaths and investigations, I guess the guy on the pipe trailer was pretty pointless?

As others have mentioned BBT is the show. Outside of that lacks somewhat and we will see what S2 if it happens has in store.
The way his wife was making comments about the QB boyfriend I have a suspicion they are going to hook up. I really do not enjoy either character.
Cooper's arc will be interesting. So far seems rushed but maybe setting him up for a big part in S2 and a showdown with his father.
Like the show but if BBT was not in it probably not watch it

find this show interesting as hell. I mean, i get some of you are in the oil business and think this is all bullshite. None of that bothers me.
It has nothing to do with being in the oil business, it has to do with being miserable middle aged dudes with nothing better to do with their time than cry like women on the internet every week. They are the same people cried about Yellowstone week in and week out for the last 5 years.
I know plenty of baws in the patch and on the ranch who love both shows and appreciate the entertainment value and setting, they don't need every hour of television to be on par with Severance or The Righteous Gemstones or to be a 100% accurate documentary of their industry.
They would call most of the posters here whiny little fagggots.

Not up mention that if any show was 100% accurate of any industry, it would almost certainly be boring as hell.
The show can certainly be ridiculous but it’s fun. While stupid that strip club scene was funny as hell.
The boyfriend drama with the daughter could definitely be left out, though it allowed for some funny lines from BBT.
Season 2 (assuming) will 100% go totally off the rails, but I’m here for it

Possibly. I was perplexed for most of the season of their having Demi Moore in a role but her getting the screentime of a glorified extra... right until this episode.
I don't think Monty dies, because I don't think the show works as well without BBT being in the shite out in the field dishing out his monologues.

Its like the internet has made everyone wanna become a critic of everything rather than just sit down and enjoy a tv show/movie.
I don't understand it either. I certainly don't remember people picking apart Gilligan's Island growing up.
With some shows like succession it's understandable, but landman is just a sit down, watch it, don't over analyze type of show.
