How did Elisabeth Moss convince hollywood that she is some siren that all men are attracted to? This show and Handmaids Tale, guys are fawning over her, ruining their families, commitng treason....for a mid AF chick with a bird face. Last season of Handmaids Tale she looked like a linebacker...Specifically Jack Ham...with all her teeth/.
I’ve watched MM 3 times now and am baffled every time. I can think of so many other actresses that could pull off an initial homely look, gradually becoming more attractive, which seemed to be her intended arc. But she was so unlikable the entire run.

Never thought she was pulling crazy high end guys in MM. the biggest pull she had was probably Pete and it was early season 1 when he was about to get married and was likely just reaching out for the nearest girl he could. Notice it basically never comes up again after like the 1-2 times they bang. Unless I’m misremembering most of her guys after that are just regular schmucks right?
No, I believe almost every single guy in her arc at least heavily flirted with her except Don (and of course cooper). She also boned Duck, Ted and some others I forget. Hell Ted was ready to leave his wife and children for her and had to move to Cali to get away from her because he was so smitten.

Yeah but Ted was a bleeding heart liberal and probably saw “Le resistance” in her.
And duck was pathetic. Small dick energy for sure.

Stan tried to hit it
That goofy lib freelance writer lived with her
its not even like she's super cool or charming. She's smug and fugly.
But hollywood seems to think it isnt beyond the suspension of disbelief that guys will move mountains to get up in what I imagine are huge panties.

Awesome show that would never get made by AMC today
From 2008 to 2018, AMC had one of the most GOAT runs in television history. First three seasons of The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Mad Men, The Terror, etc

I have never heard any man say he was attracted to Elizabeth Moss. Plus she is a Scientologist in real life so you know she is insane.

What are you trying to argue? The point is the show depicted her as hot and desirable and most males in her orbit acted the same with very view exceptions.

2. Why is Sylvia and Dr. Rosens apartment that is a floor above dons so much shittier?
I'm watching it too and in the last season, when he's at dinner with his daughter and her school friends, they mention he has the penthouse.
I'm enjoying the theme of the show (60s), but I'm not finding the love for it. The storyline sucks and is not very interesting. I expected much more with the hype.

Stan tried to hit it
So in the end, he didn't just try to hit it, he DID hit it.

It’s a slow burn and very dialogue driven.

I’m not saying she’s super attractive by any means but she wouldn’t have an issue getting a date in 1970s New York. The only time the show really goes out of their way to present her as sought after is the first season when she’s fresh meat in the office and every guy is coming at her for a quick hook up in the office. She gets pregnant and gains weight all that is gone as she transitioned to a copy righter vs a secretary
From that point on she a few long term relationships on the show - most of the guys are attracted to her for other reasons than looks and moreso for her independence and aggressive nature in the dating scene, which she got from Don. They have a couple scenes that outwardly point to her as frumpy or not conventionally attractive. I don’t see where you see her getting made to look like some supermodel in the context of the show

While not a good man by any stretch, I love Roger Sterling. He made me laugh out loud the most.

I thought Don and Sylvia would actually hook up in the Rosen’s maid’s quarters? That’s why it doesn’t look as nice. Maybe I’m wrong?

One other thing....the kid that plays Glenn is a HORRIBLE actor.
I k ow he's the show creators son.....but he's awful
I don't know who here is familiar with the band The Turtles, but doesn't Glen look like the younger version of lead singer Howard Kaylan?

Guy was a one liner machine.
Is it just me or is the lobby full of negroes?

1 because that's how the writers wrote it
the guy has a good head of hair in real life
Don had moved in more recently and let her decorate it
