Always had codeine cough syrup in his front pocket. "What are you, a cop?"

He was also in the cast of “Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman” from which “Fernwood 2 Night” was a spinoff.

Funny guy.

Oh damn. So many memories.

Fernwood 2Night was one of my favorite shows of all time.

Happy Kyne And The Mirth Makers!

Best episode was when Virgil debuted his new Battery Powered Car!

One of the most consistent comedians in showbiz history. He might be in a real stinker, and he was in some real stinkers, but Mull was always funny. Even if everything around him was utter drek. Once again, that is the mark of a real pro.

He was great in the movie "Serial", a 1980 flick, as the much put upon husband trying to deal with the all the new age fads his family was into. Bonus points for Christopher Lee playing the leader of a band of gay motorcycle thugs called the Road Reamers.

Saw this earlier today when I logged on. Loved him as the pharmacist in love with his product on "Two and a Half Men" and he first came to my attention when he and Fred Willard were host and co-host of "Fernwood Tonight".

One of my favorite episodes of "Fernwood Tonight" was when he had the raspy voiced singer, Tom Waits on as a guest. Their back and forth banter was hilarious.

RIP Martin Mull
