WTF was up with Vince's face and eyebrows in the scenes when he was sitting for the interviews?

It’s wild to look back at all the sex and violence of the vaunted Attitude Era. I was a teen then and loved every minute of it.

This gem took place 26 years ago this week..hahah

The bedpan to the head noise will never not get old. The Attitude Era was something else.

yeah I was out of wrestling by that point, so didn't know about his storyline of banging trish while wheeling around a drugged up Linda

He and Shane's relationship seems....odd

Considering what we know about Vince...yeah that has to be a weird father son dynamic

I also don't think this was the massive hit piece Vince seemed to think it is, doesn't paint him in the best light but I thought they were going to go way harder on him in ep 6 post lawsuit

Ok, it didn't have anything to do with Drago killing Apollo or Hans hijacking that building to steal money/bonds? Americans doing the same thing would be viewed the same way.

They kind of mention it...Shane is much more conservative than the rest of them. Legit family man. Vince kind of meets all the tropes of a guy with too much money - into weird shite and Linda, Stephanie, and the rest just kind of went with it. Shane is the opposite. If you didn't know how he was a McMahon you wouldn't know he is rich the way he carries himself.

Stephanie has become more family oriented as she's gotten older but she was pretty wild before she had kids and was up for whatever.

So I just finished the episode about the Montreal Screw Job.

So you can clearly see Vince has a black eye. But Bret claimed he uppercut him. How did he get a black eye? Vince claimed Bret punched him as soon as he walked up to him. That seems way more likely.

Started this last night. Most interesting thing to me about episode 1 was about Vince growing up getting beaten by his step dad daily and then meeting his dad at close to 12 and having a bizarre relationship. . Knew part of that but not all of it. His inabiiity tro even have a real self makes a lot of sense. It would take a billion dollars of therapy to unwind all of that. No wonder Vince is broken.

It doesn't seem like a hit piece at all.

There's zero narration, well over half of the commentary is from Vince, and the rest is from people who are very close to him.

His and the WWF past troubles and controversies are well documented and unavoidable.

Yeah most of the “negative” talk was from Shane, Bret and the handful of newspaper writers. Everyone else defended the shite out of him

Bruce Pritchard claimed in episode 6 it was a hit job but Bruce is effectively the Mouth Of Sauron for Vince, having been attached like a lamprey to his arse for the better part of the last 35 years.

The argument has been that there is virtually no Vince shown which wasn’t Mr McMahon the businessman, because Vince really refused to do so.

There may not have been much for him to say, though, since he was a major workaholic and fitness nut. He didn’t have a life outside of work, hence why he ranted about how people who retire may as well go ahead and die, as the concept of enjoying life outside of work seemed foreign to him.

I wonder now that vince is completely out of power if many of those interviews would have changed and they don't have to worry about keeping their legends contracts

It sounded like they were in a kind of scrum with lots of people in the way. No reason to think that Vince’s head might’ve been titled down at Bret’s fist came up.

Depends on the person.

A number of those people are seen as being political one way or another but some, like Tony Atlas, say exactly what they think.

It’s something that likely had Tony in danger of getting killed after he was in the locker room in Puerto Rico when Bruiser Brody was murdered.

I didn't see it as a hit piece either. The more recent allegations obviously turned Episode 6 sideways which Vince clearly was not going to be a part of, but overall I thought it was well done.

I think in the end he admitted that the line between Vince and Mr. McMahon was blurred and I think we can all see the character won out in his personal life.

I haven't watched wrestling since the end of the Attitude Era. I had tried to get back into it during college but just couldn't. I still have family that watch it every week and love it.

It’s wild to know that the boss himself got caught up in living his gimmick and it lead to his downfall. Vince worked himself into a shoot.

It's interesting how this was the case for so many people.

I wish I could remember exactly when and why I stopped watching because during the Attitude Era it was cant miss TV.

It must have been 2002 when I stopped. From 1995-2002.
