Did Darth Vader’s conversation with hologram Reva confirm that the Grand Inquisitor is dead?

For fricks sake. He isn’t dead.

There’s plenty to critique and analyze and over-analyze, but this was unexpected for me. I didn’t expect this much Vader time this early or a showdown.

I was a kid when I saw the original in the theater in Lafayette. Watching this episode I couldn’t help smiling like that kid during every Vader scene.

Why is Kenobi dressed in the Jedi robe and basically looking the same? It seems if the entire galaxy was looking for me, I’d try to look different. And Vader just letting him get away? Child please. It was entertaining but could be so much more

This show is great. Think it is really cool that they are building the relationship between Kenobi and Leia, and I thought both child Leia actress and even Reva's acting were improved this episode.

Seeing Vader v. Kenobi is awesome. Pumped for next three episodes.

Incredibly brutal. Exactly the Vader we have been wanting to see. Casually snapping necks and attempting to burn Kenobi alive. Still concerned that the GI seems to be dead. I just don’t understand the thought process of killing off a character who only appears in Disney Star Wars canon after this show. But maybe they are just tricking us.

I'm not saying I think he is. I don't think he is, nor do I see any reason to kill him off. But this is Disney, so I at least consider the possibility of them retconning something. You don't have to be an a-hole.

He's not. Unless Uncle Owen is a wearing a Jedi robe too.

Are they going for a campy feel on this show? I know the budget for this thing has to be insane but the action on this show is so poorly shot.

I haven't been complaining about the budget of the show, but the scene in Vader's throne room looked like one of those live action cutscenes from a mid-90s Playstation game.

I hope he is in the show as he is one of the only few reported to survive Order 66 as well as a Jedi Master.

My only issue with the episode is the need to destroy the laser gate. It was only there to prevent vehicles from going through. All Obi had to do was walk around the edge of it.

In regards to other discussions. Disney has already updated their info.

Angry that he would take all the credit for Obi-Wan's capture, she decided to stab the Grand Inquisitor in the stomach so she could capture Obi-Wan herself. The Grand Inquisitor collapsed from his wound, but he proved to be a long enough distraction to Reva so Obi-Wan could escape with Leia.

Some years later, the Grand Inquisitor would heal from his wound and would be on the hunt for a rebel cell that operated on the Outer Rim world of Lothal in an attempt to destroy their leader, the Jedi survivor Kanan Jarrus, and his Padawan, Ezra Bridger.

I can’t help but hope that the “smuggling younglings” comment was a chance to add some Grogu backstory.

Easily the best episode of the show so far. Reva and Leia both improved, but both still need work. I like that we got a duel between Ben and Vader so early, seems like they're going to let Ben do some more cool Jedi stuff before the show is over. NED is interesting and I liked the set pieces we got in this episode.

My only critique is that the plot moved super slowly in this episode. Doesn't feel like the show has gone anywhere since episode one finished. Vader is finally here, but Ben is about to embark on another rescue mission since Reva abducted Leia. Generally the same plot we saw in episode two.

Seeing Vader that long confirms that I just want an R rated Vader Series extremely bad.

This episode was miles better than the first two. I loved seeing Vader try to put Kenobi through what he experienced with being burned alive. That was a great scene.

I think the Asian inquisitor is bothering me more than Reva now. His voice is ridiculous and it feels like they're making him purposely stupid. "Now we'll never find him!". Dude, he's at most a few hundred yards away.

Someone mentioned it earlier, but how did Reva beat Leia to the port? I was expecting some big reveal on the pilot as someone we've seen before.

Amazing episode. 10/10 for me. Reva was much better this episode. Vader putting Obi-Wan through what he did was a nice touch. Also like the “what have you become?” “I am what you made me” line.

The Inquisitors don't come across as all that bright. In the first episode they tracked that Jedi guy across the galaxy to a bar on Tatooine based only on a rumor, but he runs across the street, and they lose track of him for a few days.

Come on man you’re just being difficult for the sake of it. That outfit Kenobi had on is the same look all Jedi have. All those force ghosts pics of Annakin, Kenobi, Yoda etc, they all had that brown robe with lighter underclothes. What Owen is wearing is not the same, but looks like we’re all nitpicking so carry on. And that hologram of his face seemed to be blasting everywhere to every bad guy in the galaxy, but 6 Stormtroopers don’t recognize him?
