I loved the line during the Bradley conversation from Sam. “Steve didn’t put you in jail”
It’s a nice reminder to not blatantly hate everyone because one person with that skin color hurt you

Does Sam strike you as the type of guy to ask a GRIEVING WIDOW for money days after her husband's funeral?

Lol I feel stupid but I never even thought about that

For all intents and purposes, Falcon and the Winter Soldier takes place less than a week after Steve Rogers gives Sam the shield, which would put it less than 10 days after Tony's funeral.
WandaVision takes place around the same timeframe.
Both take place slightly before Far From Home.

Sam let Torres keep his old set of wings.
I can only assume this means Torres will start tinkering with them. He’s the new Falcon, after all.

It is 6 months after Endgame.
Wandavision was a few weeks after Endgame.

I thought I remembered references to this being 6 months later.

You really think they'd let Sam hold onto the shield for 6 months?

Awesome episode. While watching the workout montage I thought Sam def could've been a DB at LSU for sure, so props to that banker
Out of curiosity (I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to the larger arc in the comics), does Sam ever get access to some serum?

Different serum. He, Dum Dum Dugan, Clay Quartermain, Maria Hill, Nick Fury and Sharon Carter take something called the Infinity Formula.

Who said they knew he had it until he gave it to them? It’s not theirs anyway.

A few retorts:
As it has been noted, it's 6 months after Endgame..
Pepper isn't your typical "grieving widow". She's had her share of battle scars. Also, Stark Industries still needs to be managed. Pepper could have taken 10 minutes to call a bank and guarantee a loan of even easier give him a blank check and tell him fill in what ever amount he needs.
If not Pepper, he could have went to Happy Hogan and he has the connections..
Hell..Don't they have "GoFundMe" in the MCU? The planet owes him a debt of gratitude for what he and the Avengers did.

Before the snowflakes get in here and complain about it, I believe the way Marvel at least on screen is handling the race stuff with Sam and Isaiah is fantastic. Isaiah harboring those feelings against the government (FDR and Harry Truman's admins did some crazy shite to Isaiah) makes a lot of sense and Sam getting to understand where Isaiah is coming from but also not letting Isaiahs anger and bitterness negatively affect him but using it to want to fight for what's right and being a Captain America for all. Well done.
Meh. It's just not believable that the USA would lock up a super-soldier for decades. Takes the meaning out of everything he says for me. I just don't buy it.
I guess that goes back to the ridiculousness of there suddenly being more super-soldiers that have been out there in hiding since forever.

If you recall, the Army's plan for Steve was to send him to Alamogordo for similar testing. The shitheel Senator saved him from that fate.

That's great, but then keep him under wraps for Nam? Korea? Persian Gulf? The nonsense in Iraq and Afghanistan? I mean, not even "off book" engagements like Bay of Pigs?
No chance.
Even if I believe all of that, I'm also supposed to believe this super powered dude just sat by while the entire world, and his whole family with it, was going to end in any of the Avengers movies? These were all very public situations. Even if he hates the USA, he hates it enough to let the whole world die to an alien invasion?
His backstory just doesn't work.

When did Isaiah "die" and go into hiding?
Posted on 4/16/21 at 7:47 pm to SECSolomonGrundy
Dunno. Just seems real hard to believe that this dude lived through Loki's invasion, Ultron, Thanos, and the Snap, and somehow thinks what the US govt did to him is relevant. If all of that doesn't get him to move on, then he's allowing the US government to continue to control him and locking himself up willingly for them.

I was thinking about that and I figure he took the super syrum so it had to effect him some way. He must've had some kind of chip on his shoulder or something that he obviously can't get over.

What is there to buy? He explained they locked him up so they could run tests on him, since he was the only one that responded well to the serum.
