Old Guard 2 - Netflix

If you were a fan of the first Old Guard, sorry but this one is very disappointing. The opening scenes are kind of awesome but it quickly loses the plot.
Skip it.
There is a character name Tuah and another named Discord. They weren’t being ironic. Also, an Uma Thurman vs Charlize Theron fight may have been cool 30 years ago, it just seems ridiculous at their current ages.

I watched the first one before I watched the second. The second was not very good, it put me to sleep - literally.

Didn’t really grab my attention at all, and really just seemed like a set up for another movie.

Totally a setup for a third movie.
And what the frick happened to Copley?
Last we see is him fighting with some dudes and then nothing. At least we know the immortals got split up into four helicopters.
It was laughable that Andy whipped the hell out of 250 pound, grown-arse men yet got destroyed by Uma Thurman.

Damn, what a waste of time. Wish I had read this thread before watching.

It was pretty damn bad overall but the ending just fricking pissed me off

I didn't hate it, but it seemed like more of a film to set up the next one than to be a stand alone. However, yeah, the name Discord is too cheesy. And I also felt that the climax battle between two 50 year old women wasn't the thrill the film wanted it to be.
I truly enjoyed the first one. The character building, action, and plot hooked me. So I'm still along for the ride.

I did not like the first one at all. The whole premise is that anyone can get this immortality gift with no explanation. They don't have a connection other than being immortal and see visions until they meet. Then they can lose the power just because. The acting outside of Theron was horrible. I just found it funny that the immortals in a shoot out at the end are taking cover whereas the hired guns (supposedly trained former military) are not taking cover in a firefight. I would have liked a better connection each has to receive the gift and how they were chosen. I may or may not watch the 2nd one but my expectations are low anyway.
