Oh excuse me 7 months. I can’t believe I didn’t remember briefly mentioning a movie 7 months ago. Got me there! Really that’s the zinger you were going for? My point was I don’t remember the last time I talked about the movie. Haven’t thought about that movie in a long time.

I want to see it, still sad Nolan got his panties in a bunch and left WB
I’m sure he’s sad they ruined one of the most expensive blockbusters of all time by forcing him to cast a talentless hack as the main lead.

I think what pissed him off the most was WB's 2020 decision to release all of their big blockbusters on HBO Max at the same time they hit theaters in 2021. Nolan is a big fan of the movie-going experience and that move by Warner Bros. was probably the straw that broke the camel's back.

Universal Studios is playing it live and on repeat. Universal Studios is playing it live and on repeat. Not sure why. I wonder if we're gonna get a full trailer soon..
I just now noticed something. I suspected it when I watched it twice this morning but can now confirm it.
The clock in the trailer is live and updated. It’s updated with each new repeat. Hence, the reason Universal posted it as a live video.

Time will have something to do with it.
Time will have something to do with the story of a theoretical physicist exploiting the theory of relativity to harness the energy of the atom?
I dunno. Seems a stretch.
(Edit: Perhaps I should dial back my sarcasm. It’s just that while even I have grown to find Nolan’s thematic reliance on time as more tedious than not these days, it at least seems more motivated and justifiable than ever if it is employed in a story about Oppenheimer…a relativistic theorist….that being said, it’s not like we can be absolutely sure it will be a theme in the movie just yet.)

Exactly. Had to watch it twice to double check. Wouldn't be surprised if this is live until its release.

The love that Tenet is getting on this board is bizarre.

Subtle.

That pissed a lot of big-time filmmakers off. Denis Villeneuve griped publicly about it - he pushed back the release of Dune due to COVID, then that got dropped on him. (That's a movie that should be seen on a big screen). Some entertainment publication said the only people who got a heads up from WB they were doing this same day release schedule were Gal Gadot and Patty Jenkins from Wonder Woman 1984.

Color temperature is that typical Nolan cold, but for the most part, it’s still color.
Although, I have heard a few scenes will be B&W. (Allegedly the first use of B&W in IMAX.)
Edit: Funny, now that I watch it in my PC, it looks like all of the shots of Murphy are in Black and White, but I could have sworn that shot of him walking was in desaturated bluish color this morning on my phone.
Since the trailer is live and constantly updated, did they change the color at any point since its initial release?

I was disappointed in Dunkirk, so I don't have the same level of anticipation for this historical genre movie that I did for that one.
I did just order the book that the movie is based on. I expect it to be dense as hell, and at 700+ pages, if I start now, maybe I'll finish it by the time the movie comes out.

I have never once had a problem with hearing Nolan dialogue.
Me, either. The actors sometimes step on each other's lines or speak in strange cadences, but I've never noticed a sound mix issue.

I recently just happened on a movie on Turner Classic Movies called The Beginning or the End. It is about the building of the A-Bomb. It was made in 1947 and really got into many of the individuals involved. Almost all of them were still alive as the movie was made so close to the actual development of the bomb. To me, that's what made it so fascinating.
Here's the trailer.... YouTube...Trailer starts at 2:53
Right before the trailer, they interviewed people who supposedly had walked out of the first viewing of the film. Look at this random person interviewed at the 2:10 point of the video. Clearly da b!tch be jive talking.
Hume Cronyn played Robert Oppenheimer.

Gtfo. Tenet was amazing….and original. That’s something most directors can’t do anymore.
