Hopefully a spin-off done the same way as this season. By now, the people in charge should’ve noticed the difference of opinions of season 3 of Picard and the first two seasons of Picard.

LINK

Picard (season 3) just became the first Trek series to ever crack the top 10 streaming ranking. That should tip them off if they green light an additional series.

I still can’t believe her ex husband wanted to take her to a swing club. What the hell was wrong with him?

This entire season was a love letter to the cast and fans of TNG and has restored my faith that hollywood can (sometimes) set aside their ridiculous agendas and create good shows.

Yeah, the crazy thing it was Stewart’s decision to not include any of the previous cast in the first two seasons by and large.

This is also what happens when the show runner is a true fan of the material.

Crazy thing is, as bad as the first 2 seasons were I actually groaned when I saw the previews for this one. I thought to myself “Oh no. They’re going to drag the others into this and it’ll look like a bunch of geriatrics huffing and puffing around to save the world (like Picard did in season 1).” But they did a great job of representing them as being older but not too old or too tired to pull off what they did.

Even all the cameos I saw in the previews I thought wouldn’t work (Moriarty for example) but they all made complete sense and worked perfectly.

Worf won more fights in this season than all seasons of TNG and DS9 combined I believe.

TNG yes DS9? No. In DS9 the enemies were not weird and beyond the federation tech. in TNG, they get infected with mircos that devovled them, who does that shite even happen to? Or that one time they all got mind wiped.

Yup. I’m glad someone looked at seasons 1 and 2 and said “ this isn’t working”

Data finally finding humanity in a way that didn’t involve an emotion chip (that always seems to malfunction)

Worf losing weight and kicking some arse

Flying The Enterprise into the Borg cube was ridiculous, and I loved every moment of it.

It was a great send off for the Next Generation crew.

The mid credits scene with Q makes me want more.

What an amazing season! I wished I had never watched Season 1 of Picard, that was an abortion compared to Season 3.

Episode 4 "No Win Situation" was my favorite episode by far. Lots of great monologues and Picard/Riker interaction in that one. While I enjoyed the final few episodes, it felt like they made it a little too obvious that they were getting the whole gang back together in those episodes.

I've rewatched these 2 scenes showing the Enterprise-D at peak performance:

Crusher On Fire With The Weapons

Data's Gut Piloting the Enterprise-D Inside the Cube

In none of the TV Series or Movie Did we see the Enterprise-D kick arse like this.

I have high hopes that they find a way to bring Shaw back. Maybe with something involving Q? Lot's of possibilities there. I'm glad they so obviously set up some spin off hope.

Technically you could see it in DS9 when Galaxy class when toe to toe with Dominion ships.

That was an amazing season. So glad that they gave that crew the sendoff that they deserved.

Crusher strafing and carpet bombing that Borg Cube and responding to her shocked mates with, "A lot happened in the last twenty years." was off the charts cool.

Sensitive Worf, kickass Crusher, human Data... they gave the cast a ton more to work with, and it all paid off.

Now I want to watch S3 all over again. I’m sure I’ll see some stuff in epi 1 that I missed

There was a brief scene where a wing of Galaxy Class Ships were engaging the Dominion fleet but even you have to concede that the Enterprise-D in Picard S3 was in beast mode.

And to hammer this point again, if you had told me this was how they were going to be portrayed before the season began I would’ve groaned and assumed the worst. But they made it work perfectly.

We did see it in Return of the Jedi.
