Where else in this movie can you find something that would require this much suspension of disbelief? Everything in this movie is extremely plausible. So don't give me that soul bullshite.

Yeah the soul thing is just stupid. The whole movie seems to be firmly planted in a realistic universe. Why would some white boys have his soul? Why would he give them his soul?
I don't think Quentin has a clue. I think he put that in there just to frick with people.

Real answer: its a McGuffin. It doesn't matter.
My answer: I like the idea it is either Marcellus' soul or the diamonds from Reservoir Dogs. There's lots of references to Dogs, and I think it was originally intended to be the same diamonds.
