I pretty much agree with you. The disappearing with Bynes leaves a question mark for me. Other than that, he was just an a-hole and a bunch of mentally frail people started seeing the boogeyman everywhere. Bring me more evidence and I'll change my tone, but I'm not thinking this guy was jerking off to kids covered in peanut butter with dogs licking him

How can someone be "mostly" innocent when it comes to rape?

I’m on episode 2 now. I don’t get pedo vibes yet but he’s a 100% pure grade a-hole. AND there is a shite ton of butthurt from the people being interviewed in this episode.
None of this is super shocking for major kids shows though.

Did he add some sexual innuendos into the show? Very possible. The Ariana GRande thing was the worst but it also seems that wasn't apart of the show. It was a weird "extras" version on youtube??
Also these "journalist" try and point to every instance of him using any type of long cyclinder food is a dick joke. They talk about pickles? Sausages? Big noses? Obvious dick joke?? lol
Also the massive running joke of Nickelodean was always about getting "slimed" and getting weird goo on your face. But if he does it he's saying you're getting jizz on your face
I had a small problem with a lot of that stuff they mentioned. Like you said, outside of a couple of scenes most of them were fairly innocuous but just being looked upon from a lens of today instead of back then. But like the Ariana Grande potato one...everybody is saying she was jerking off the potato. That's not how I saw it at all really. She was squeezing it like an idiot wanting "the juice." So she was juicing it. Now, is that funny? I don't think so, but kids likely think it's hilarious, because it's stupid and makes no sense. Now, the AG thing with the water was very obviously weird and there aren't really any good explanations for that of course.
But most of the scenes they showed as over the line really didn't seem that bad. And kid stuff is always littered with innuendo-type stuff for the adults. NIckelodeon in the 90s/00s was not an exception to that.

Right, like I mentioned earlier it's more of an HR type of issue than an illegal one of "he's raping children" one. At least as of now. Like I said, if it came out tomorrow that Schneider was a predator I'd believe it 100%.
Am I the only one that got the "spurned actor" vibe from a lot of these kids (now adults) on the doc? Really just any of the kids from All That and the Amanda Show that gave interviews. A lot of it came off to me as sour grapes-type stuff. Almost like they were upset about the idea that they were not integral to the show and were easily replaceable, when that is very obviously what happened. With a couple of exceptions of real talent (like Bynes), most of the other kids were just filler actors for the most part. Like the girl that Amanda Bynes "replaced" because she grew up or got too fat or whatever. Maybe she just wasn't that good and was replaced by a much better actress. Not everything has to have happened because you got fricked over. Same with that one black kid and his mom...she was mad because the first day on set her son was playing a kid black market selling girl scout cookies and the scene was played like he was a drug dealer, and she didn't like that. But that was literally the point of the sketch and why (I assume) it was funny.
I know All That was pretty popular back in the day. Did anybody here watch it? I never really got into those Nick shows from that time period (I guess I was slightly too old at the time). But were any of these kids just super funny or super talented? Or were just like average cast members on a sketch comedy show built around its stars (like K&K, Bynes, and that big Lori chick)?

Even if DS molested Amanda Bynes and she comes forward, no one will believe her. She has already been determined to be mentally unstable and having substance abuse issues. She has no credibility. McCurdy in her book talks about DS but refers to him as "the creator". She does not say he actually touched her sexually.

I kept going back and forth on if I was crazy for not seeing what everyone else was with the potato thing. I'm glad I'm not the only one. She wasn't doing a jerk off motion, she wasn't moaning or anything, nothing like that so I just did not get it.

That's definitely what it is. All That featured a large array of different cast members. Some went on to lead successful careers, even outside of Nickeloden(ie Kenan and Kel, Amanda Bynes, Nick Cannon, Gabriel Igleseus, Lauri Beth Denberg and a couple of others). While others never managed to get another acting gig in their career.
And as you mentioned for the potato thing, I don't think that is automatically super sexual either. The whole point of Ariana Grande's character was being a silly, zany, and very dense girl. Her character was so popular that she got her very own spin-off. Trying to squeeze a potato to juice it is on brand for the character, imo. So I don't think that was a super terrible thing within that context.
But I do believe that once they videod the scene, reviewing it, editing it. I think that's when someone should have said, "you know what, this scene does not look good. It can come off really inappropriate. I really think we should just scrap it or shoot it differently."

There is zero chance that Schneider hasn't had sex with at least one minor cast member.
I honestly doubt it. People have been trying to nail this guy for a decade now and the most that's come out, after all that's transpired in the last 5 years, is that he's an arse. He created a horrible environment but I don't think it went much beyond that.

I felt the same way. We aren't hearing from Lori Beth Denberg or Danny Tamberelli- both were way more successful on Nick/All That but have fallen off. They have no reason not to speak out. Instead, we got a bunch of interviews from actors who lasted just a season or two.

Apparently a 5th episode is coming this week.
Additionally, one of the Zoey 101 cast members has come forward with his own sexual abuse stories, although they were not related to his time at Nick/working with Dan Schneider.

I'm disgusted Peck only got 16 months for repeatedly raping a minor. Unreal.

I have said this before as well. It's true. Bynes has lost any credibility and it's unfortunate we can't believe anything she says.

The mandatory minimum laws they have for drug dealers in federal court should be applied to child predators. These judges are apperently incapable of handing out fair sentences on behalf of victims.
Dan Schneider must have been so happy the last half of this series was about a truly evil person that made all his weird behavior seem harmless in comparison.

I'd like to submit for consideration that just because Drake and this Zoey 101 young man have said their experience with Schneider was nothing but professional and positive... they're not young ladies saying these same things.
Additionally, there are likely dozens of girls on set who would've said equally kind things about Brian Peck.

Just finished the show and it turns out the real villian of the documentary is drake bells MOM.
WOWWWW what a piece of shite. Helped convince her son to move out of his fathers house to get closer to a pedophile. Father shares his suspicions and doesn't fight his son moving out but says not to let him stay with pedo with no supervision and then shes too fricking lazy to take him to gigs so she throws him to the fricking wolves.
Also, if all I did was read social media I'd think Dan Schneider was the pedophile in this show. Turns out he's just a super talented a-hole boss who gets fame and gets power hungry (never heard this one before).
The whole show is to lead you into thinking he's the pedo but the worst thing they throw at him is saying he made women massage him on set (power move and shitty obviously).

Dude was an arse hole but alot of stretches were made during this show to try and make you perceive something without any real evidence. Very possible he is a predator and proof will come out but this show didn't produce anything to show he was a pedophile from what I could tell.
We watched all 4 episodes yesterday and I share these same thoughts. Dan Schnieder is an a-hole and loved being in charge, and I definitely think he COULD BE a pedophile, but this documentary did nothing to convince me that he was/is.
Some of these 'child actors' seem to be making mountains from mole hills, although those noses on the costume DID look a little like cock and balls.

But the focus of the documentary missed, imo, because they tried to act like being an a-hole and a misogynist is equal to raping children.
This reminds me of the Norm Macdonald Cosby joke.

Do you know what Cosby's biggest problem was?

I have not watched the documentary, but I have followed around this story somewhat for several years now.
Since there is a good amount of differing opinion on Schneider, I'd like to compare to Joe Paterno at Penn State and see what people's feelings are on him and if those feelings differ from Schneider, and why? Paterno has never been accused of raping or molesting or really any inappropriate actions with any of the kids or players, but he knew what was going on and kept that environment so in my opinion he was complicit. At the very least Schneider was complicit in this same way, though I would even say much worse considering he kept more people around these kids who were doing unspeakable things to them. Then you add to that where he has has been rumored for the better part of a decade, whereas to my knowledge Paterno never had, to have had inappropriate relations possibly including rape, and impregnating Amanda Bynes. You even have Bynes herself saying this, and while I understand you cannot just "believe all women/accusers" at a certain point you have see where there is this much smoke there is fire.

I’m equally disgusted that most of Hollywood’s B-list elite stood up for him.
